V for Vendetta (2006, R)
"Voilą! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V" |

Shrek (2001, PG)
Magical and fun are good words for Shrek. Very hard to find fault with the film. Has a great story, (it's really good how they incorporate all those fairy tale characters) animation, soundtrack, everything. I've seen Shrek 2 and even though it probably has more characters and more story, Shrek 1 still is my favourite. |

Flushed Away (2006, PG)
All round fun all ages! Nothing really upsetting for a younger audience but very entertaining for an older audience too. Amazing animation with such attention to detail. Had a good pace to it, fast enough not to bore but not fast enough to lose you either. I did laugh many times. Only complaint was some of the voice work let it down for me. |
