paul thomas anderson, what can i say, this guy is a genius, hard eight, nice little debut, boogie nights, is in my top 5, magnolia, suberb multicharactor drama, what will he donext i thought, oh no a adam sandler film, things wernt looking good, this guy cant act, i thought, p.t, what are you doing, then watched the film, was blown away, not just his direction, but sandler, this guy can act, just give him a good script, exellent director, hes got it this story could be straight out of magnolia, set in l.a, sandler plays barry a lonely bachelor who runs a nice little business, but gets involved with a lady, superbly played by emily watson, while at the same, time a misunderstanding, with a phone sex companywhilst trying to take advantage of a pudding offer, it all fits together pretty well, looks great, for me, p.t is a directorwith amazing style, and odd music which fits perfectly, a great watch, oh and i hate it when so called sandler fans, havent seen this or dont want to see it, because they heard its a drama, whats that about.n are you a sandler fan, what you think,

.great film depicting the record label factory records, from the 70s-90s, and a great performance from steve coogan as tony wilson, depicting events such as the forming of new order, from the remains of joy division, and the birth of the happy mondays, it shows in great detail, why manchester is a great source for british music, and of course the mad world of tony wilson, and why he lost control of his record label, due to bands taking advantage and daft business plans, a great nostalgic look at what the uk does best, music, really good.

the brazilian goodfellas, this has been tagged, and i can see why.
set in the slums of rio de janeiros , the city of god district, where the standard of living is really poor and your lucky to survive till the age of 20, we follow a group of lads through childhood to adulthood, living here and through the eyes of one, a boy named rocket, whilst trying to keep away from the gangland culture, we see this kid grow up in the enviroment and we see a interest in photoghraphy take shape, will this interest be good enough to get him out. although not just rockets story, we see many others and there desperate situations, it reminded me of films like boogie nights, just different subject matter, fasinating look at these lives, horrible volence, with some scenes really squirmish, especially when kids are involved, the look is amazing, but seeing as they actually flmed there, its no suprise, and many of the leads atrnt proffessionals , so they do A amazing job as well, but again they come from there so if anyone knows, they do, a great pace to the story as well, and the direction very scorsese, the 2 thing why i thinki this is tagged goodfellas in brazil, you gotta see this

japan the future, school kids are out of control, something needed to be done. the answer, every year sent a class of to a island, and they must kill each other till one is left, a great concept here.
we see one particular class put on the island, as each goes of they are given a weapon, from a axe to a pepper spray, but also neck braclets round there head, which go of explode, if need be, so as film goes on we see loners do what there supposed to do, psycho kids get in on the action, packs hide away become a team, lovers devided, who will stand out and win the battle royale, is there a way out, what can these kids do.
this film is great, only from japan can this be done this good, a great social comment not just on japan but the world, i se the u.s remaking this and it could work, especially with the high schools getting more violent. great deaths here as well, especially the 1st committed by a teacher played by cult director beat takeshi, watching these kids either love whats hapening or just think its plain wrong is great and then when they need to kill they do, and watch out as well for killbills chiaki kuriyama, again in school uniform trying to kill people, beware of sequel, its not so good a really bad concpt for a story, watch it if you like battle royale, but dont expect much.

superb spielberg film, crimes can be solved in advance, cruise leads team, but is then implicated him self, he goes on run, superb looking, great visuals, and some exellent set pieces, but also a terrific story
