I thought the movie was great, held its own as a remake. However, there is a sense of disappointment with the material as I expected more grounds gained from an expert director as Scorsese. It just lacked that deep character analysis that I was wanting.

DiCaprio was most impressive, trying to convey the duality of his character with his conflicts and emotions. It was just unfortunate that Damon did not involve himself in that same dimensional portrayal. I guess I wanted more emotional weight tied to the Damon character as his was the most interesting, tugged between two extreme worlds.

Personally, I'd take the HK version over this.
