United 93 (2006, R)
this film is amazing, best film this decade, events during sept 11, from united 93, air traffic control, and the militery, not afraid to point blame, but shows confusion, as to how it could happen, documentary style, puts you on the plane, and even though you know the outcome, root for the people on board, and its not because its 911, why this is powerful, it would be under different events, oliver stones, world trade center, doesent make my top 20 last year, and hes one of my fav directors of all time see this film, |

Right at Your Door (2007, R)
9.11 paranoia, these are films we are getting now, and films are better for it, a great film showing america and there new wave of fear. brad and lexi are married and living in L.A while lexi goes to work brad stays home no job, one particular day, he hears on a radio bombs have gone off all over L.A naturally he panicks, shes stuck down town, hes in the house, whats he to do, its reported people have to barricade them selvs in away from contamination, after a quick dash down town hoping to get her and get supplies, hes confronted with a dilema, he decides, with a neighbour to lock up, and then lexi, turns up. low budget flm making here, but used to great affect, hand held cameras, and minimul locations add to the tension, and great look of the flm, theres great shots of downtown ablaze. great for such a small film, the tension in the house is great, brad(rory cochrane) is exellent, really senseing his fear and concern for lexi he wants her in but, knows he cant, again great tension, and a great twist, that shows in a way his stupidity, a great disaster film at a budget |
