"You'r off the fucking chain."

I think I enjoyed this movie all the more because I could relate to Nick Frost's character. It back memories of watching and quoting many many action movies when I was in my late-teens, Bad Boys and Point Break both had multiple plays on my VHS player. It remind me the love and fondness I have for such genre flicks that the movie pokes fun at whilst still showing a certain amount of respect.

Now I have to go watch Chow Yun Fat diving in slow-motion with two guns.

"Have you ever fired your gun in the air and yelled 'aaaaahh!!'?"

A film of epic proportions with some of the most incredible visuals ever put on the silver screen.

Like the epic fables and historic myths it follows in the over the top descriptions of the enemy. From the start it is story told by another Spartan soldier meant to inspire the troops before the upcoming battle, a tale of adversity in the face of insurmountable odds. It isn't about realism it is about ideals and bravery. It is about having hereos to set an example to live upto.

Fincher excels again.

A fabulous and sometimes hilarious blend of horror and family drama.

It is Little Miss Sunshone meets Godzilla in Korean. As the dysfunctional Park family go up against the government and a genetic mutation.

This was never going to be anywhere as good as Spider-man 2 but I am disappointed in the gap in quality.



Yes the CGi and action sequences blow you away. Each huge battle is a joy to behold but it's the filler that drags it down.



There is just too damn much going on, too many characters whitout enough screen time. If we had lost one of the bad guys, maybe Sandman or Venom and saved them for another sequel this one would have been alot better.



And don't even ask about the central strecth of the movie as Peter Parker is effected by the symbiote suit. The sequel made such a point of turning a comic book movie into something so much more serious, there is about 20 minutes in this movie that destroys all that.



Other than all that it is very enjoyable and worth a view on the big screen. James Franco steals alot of the movie whilst Topher Grace and Hayden Church are both criminally under used and both would have benefited with a whole movie devoted to them.



Now is the time to leave this franchise alone whilst it is still relevant.

A visual treat but could have done with more meat on it's bones.
