This IS the Coen Brothers best film, and the 2nd best film of 2007, only slightly bested by "There Will Be Blood"

This movie is a masterpiece...One hell of a thriller...I haven't been on the edge of my seat like this for ages...

Amazingly good, I can't even begin to explain how much I love this movie.

Better than Planet Terror...no I'm sorry it is...I don't care if you grew up in the 80's you're wrong.

A nearly perfect film.

Love, War, Sex, Betrayal and Sacrifice accent this films many emotional climaxes.

I've always liked Ben Affleck, something that has gotten me a lot of shit in my days.

So to all the nah sayers...

You we're wrong, he's got talent. Go fuck yourself.

Part black comedy, part satire and part horror film. A whole lot of fun, but not for everybody

I had the most surreal experience after seeing this movie...

A SUV drove by me when I was walking home from the theatre, and shot at me with a paintball gun...

What kind of cosmic forces where at work there?

A movie that just leaves you smiling. Like getting a hug from your little sister.

Great performances and writing bring this witty, smart and emotionally rich tale to life.

A near perfect exercise in the legal thriller genre, while still bringing a fresh perspective to it.

Acting all round is top notch, and the cinematography a subtly textured cornucopia of reflections.

Funny but, not the funniest movies ever made. It's good too see Apatow is really insisting that his work has heart along with it's filth.

Great simple character piece. No flashy camera work, no preposterous "running across the city to win back the woman I love scenes'

What can only be described as an emo-western.

The performances and camera work are brilliant. However the film is a little too "tortured" and melancholy for it's own good.

A Solid Film. I think as time passes I will grow to like this film better than it's predecessor.

A 90 minute Simpson's episode is still funnier than 90% of the stuff that passes for comedy these days.

Very interesting Sci-FI from Danny Boyle...I've kind of seen this all already...but haven't seen it like this...


However what was with the roastie toastie guy at the end?

Thoroughly enjoyable. A very watchable popcorn film anchored by Will Smith's strong performance.

First hour is absolutely fantastic, but then it sort of looses steam toward the end.

Also negative points for the all CGI bad guys. Seriously, knock that shit off.

I enjoyed the hell out of this, wish I would have seen it in 3D

I really respect Apatow, but I don't totally vibe with his films. It's all great until somehow he hits the cinematic "brown note"

Hoffman is great and the writing is clever but the film is a mediocre directing achievement for Nichols. Everything just seems to happen, there is no real drama, nothing ever seems to be at risk.

and Julia Roberts is wicked Miscast

Beautiful Cinematography, but I hated most of the characters (sans McAvoy) although the acting was quite good.

The ending completely ruins this picture. Taking all of the dramatic wind out of it's sales.

Besides the fact that the cameraman seemed to be masturbating throughout the entire film, this film is a solid piece of work. Carnahan's script is impeccable and Berg's direction is top notch. The closing lines are also choice

Think Syriana meets Black Hawk Down

Ridley seems like he's trying so hard to be hip...and it doesn't quiet work. the acting is great but the movie is tired. Scott again does a great job of evoking the atmosphere of 1970's Harlem

Just a little too much everything for its own good

Solid Giant Monster movie. Nothing terribly new or original but fun, if a little long.

Really liked it, but I didn't buy the ending.

Diet City of God

I know this film is supposed to be great, but I just couldn't get excited about it

Way way way overrated. However, most of the songs are quite good. The actual film left much to be desired, but I can definitely see however how this film would appeal to the "want to be artist" or the "frustrated spouse" crowd.

The message of the female characters (they didn't even bother to give her a name) journey seems to be that a biological partner is more important than a loving one. Why is it necessary in this film for two people not in relationships to go back to there unhappy/unhealthy ex's?

Just a lot of oiled men in leather diapers shouting loudly

JT is the only thing keeping this from being a 1 1/2 star movie.

I saw this at the BFI film festival, it's supposed to be from one of the premier directors in Egypt...which is sad because this is TERRIBLE.

This movie is like trying to watch the Superbowl from a drunken Linebackers helmet cam. You can't see anything at all and when you can the robots are moving so fast they just become a blur of mechanical shit.

The script was beyond awful...Michael Bay has an eye for dialog that's for damn sure...What was with all of the potty humor? This movie is a lot of things...and funny certainly isn't one of them

However Shia was amazing, he carried the whole movie on his shoulders...which is odd for a movie that should be about giant fucking robots...

Seriously people...put down the bong...this movie is cinematic anthrax

Herzog seems to be able to photograph the color green like no other director. His lush use of the Jungle surroundings is truly breathtaking.

Christian Bale gives another great performance, as does the vastly underrated Steve Zahn.

Solid Horror film centered around an excellent performance by Cusack (his best in ages)

Charming at moments and generally engaging.

Hit or miss. Mostly hit.

The Coen's and Van Sant's were my favorites. Doyle's was disappointing
