the beginning promised a great horror film, at the middle i was quite thrilled (not scary though, unfortunatly), expecting a hell of a surprising end, but then... it was stupid and cliché, and c'mon, i know there are alternative endings, but from what i've read, they're lame too... geez, lost two stars because of this.

oh and a thing, the main guy was an asshole, there was this dead guy asking for help, and what does he do? roundhouse kick him the face... nice, man, where are the good samaritans these days?

Everytime I think about this movie makes me wanna try to do what Mccandless did, just for the experience, and to enjoy life in an opposite way to everyone else in this society. I've read the book aswel, unfortunatly after the movie (wich I bet most of the people did), and the way Penn puts up things according to the book its just fantastic.

desperate times sometimes require desperate measures, even if they are to kill, when the life of your own son is in play. an interesting story, concerning own's state of mind, when placed in between the wall and the sword. i loved the main street with the traffic lights concept, sorta like the central element in the story, where all the characters, at some time, stop.

nothing but a sweet, jazzy film. good to watch with your soulmate. oh, and Chan Marshal (aka Cat Power) still looks lovely as always, and damn, i love her voice.

a rather original story about friendship in childhood, and all the bumps that come with it. and to think this is just another lame comedy made for kids only, is nothing but pure mistake.

damn! what a ride! ellen page's performance was brilliant as always, the film in fragments concept was beyond amazing, never thought it could be that thrilling (i had the idea it would be alotta confusing), the story was, at first glance, weird but then you understand it all, and the score was "wow", thats the kind of sound i love.

terribly factual! i mean, i already had the feeling that there was something wrong already in this mad world, and now the proof arrived.. we could all think this was all invented, that its another conspiracy theory, but what it is amazing is that everything clicks together, our suspicions with their theories... plus, if it was another conspiracy theory (for their profit of course) why do they give away the doc free for download, at their website?

how is it possible to produce garbage like this? every minute of this so called "movie" is a complete waste of time. there's like a goof at every shot of this piece of crap. i only wached it for 10 mins, couldn't take no more.

not all who fought in WWII against the nazis had the praise they deserved, while and after. this movie shows that quite well, in a very cold way, how "indigènes", men that came from France ex-colonies, were treaten while fighting and dying for a country that wasn't really theirs.

nothing that i haven't seen before, and unfortunatly i fell into the mistake of reseeing another gore, bloody, and dull film, this time in french language. blood, saws and freak hillbills are definitly not the formula for a good horror film anymore, thats so outta fashion... it worked out for the first two Saw's or Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but it starts gettin' all the same.

simple, minimalist, and very strange. it started very awkwardly, and it is a bit confusing along the way, but as soon you start entering into the idea, the symbolism, the meaning of it, you see how nice and well done Hei Yan Quan can be.

really good. great story, and Annette Hanshaw's vocals are a must.

yes, it is thrilling, but its also nothing new. it was just like seeing any other Descent, Ruins, Tourists... the killers may vary from film to film, but the story is always the same, and guessable from the beggining: everyone dies in the end, but if eventually someone survives, its a girl. and by the way, i don't care if thats because girls are considered the weaker side when it comes to this kind of stresses blablabla etc. dam, i'm a man, and i want to think that if by any chance i get involved in some kind of dreadful event like these, i will survive....eh! this pisses me off ;)
