2007 Movies

Truly a modern epic. The acting is some of the best. The music was a character in itself, keeping you somewhat uncomfortable. Definitely a must see and Oscar worthy.

Close to a perfect movie. This series just gets better and better.

Incredible movie. One of the best this year. I am a huge fan of the book and Penn does in incredible job of channeling the spirit of the book. There are a couple scenes that were a little over the top, but overall, great movie. Go see it!

A gangster drama much like Godfather and Good Fellas. A very well acted movie. Viggo was cool, although we get to see WAY too much of him. It also had a couple good twist that I didn't see coming.

One of the best futuristic thrillers in a while The director creates a believably bleak world that rivals Blade Runner. One of my new favorite movies.

A fun summer action movie. Leave your brain at the door and just enjoy the chases, explosions and guns. Good dialogue and a tight plot movie this movie along at a nice pace. Perhaps the makers of 24 should watch this and figure out where they got off track last season. Better then part 2, about as good as part 3, but never as good as the original.

Pretty damn well put together movie. Loved the scene composition and the script was vintage Coen Bros. I still like There Will Be Blood a little more, but I can see how this film won the Oscars it did.

Very well crafted horror movie. The better of the Grind House movies

Great acting all around. Ben should stick to directing and let his brother Casey so the acting. Ed Harris was awesome. It was a little long in the middle.

Freaking scary and I think just a tad better (and more vicious) than the first one. Pretty intense.

I enjoyed the music and how this movies was filmed. The low light, low budget style really works for this film. I think I am going to have to buy the soundtrack.

Starts out a little slow but ends fast and fun. I really like the playful chemistry between the two main characters. Maybe not quite as good as Shaun of the Dead, but a good idea and they have lots of fun with it.

Much better than I expected.

Total eye candy. I saw it in IMAX 3-d and this is really the only way to see this movie. The textures are so rich, and the backgrounds are mindblowing. As for the actual movie, not bad, lots of action and some humor thrown in there. Overall, this would just be an above average movie on a smaller screen or watching at home.

The weaker of the Grind House movies. I wish It showed more of Stuntman Mike and less iof the chicks. Stuntman Mike could have been another legendary film character for Russell, like Snake Plisken.

Pretty good. As a Simpson's fan, I enjoyed it. The second half kind of ran out of steam.

Entertaining but not great. The music was good, but I thought the dialog was a little too snappy for a 16 year old. I thought Knocked Up was a better unwanted pregnancy comedy.

The only good thing about the movie is Will Ferrel. Jon Heder is a none factor,

Kind of a disappointment. It had potential, but doesn't really cover any new ground. The editing was choppy as well. At some points, it felt as if an entire reel was missing. I do have to say that visually it was very cool, similar to 300. It captured the feel of the graphic novel. Josh Harnett was pretty damn good as well. The vampires didn't have much personality.

Decent movie overall. I think it could have been a little grittier, but the acting was pretty good.

Decent shoot 'em up flick. Similar to True Romance, but not quite as edgy. Worth a rental. Some of the best acting from Ben Affleck when he was dead.

Good but not great crime drama. Nothing really new here, but some good acting.

I feel this is the best film of the series. It also sticks to the book pretty well. I like the darker feel and the angst Harry has to deal with.

On par with the first one. Entertaining, but not great. I do like the contrast between modern and ancient technology.

Kind of funny. If you like the series, you'll probably enjoy this. It could have been a made for TV movie, just that it has boobs and swearing.

Decent werewolf movie. I like the Native American story line. It also has some nice visuals. It went old school with the creature effects, but it works here. It does set things up for a sequel that could be promising. Think Lost Boys, Underworld, and Near Dark, but with all werewolves instead of vampires.

Pretty fun movie. Think The Two Towers meets Phantom Menace meets Mortal Kombat meets Godzilla. Decent effects and Godzilla has nothing on these creatures. I liked the modern military vs. ancient sorcery. Just a fun flick.

I enjoyed this Stephen King horror movie. I thought it was paced well, the effects were good and I really liked the ending. I hated the spider thingees. Yuck!

Good acting, but nothing really new here. Same story as Erin Brochovich, but without the bitchy Julia Roberts, which is good.

I found this movie very amusing. You got to like Seinfeld, because it's pretty much all his comedy. However Patrick "Putty" Warburton really adds to the film. It does the most liberal agenda in a film since "Day After Tomorrow", but it was genuinely fun. Better than the last Shrek movie by far.

Kind of disappointing. Too much humans, not enough robots. Also, we never got to know the personality of any of the robots. Megatron was pretty much a waste of time. Typical Micheal bay over directing.

Entertaining but not intriguing. It could have been cut down a little. Seemed a little long and bloated. Great SPFX.

Major letdown. They tried to pack too much into this film. They should have just focused on either Sandman and Goblin and saved the black suit and Venom for part four. Good action scenes, but not enough to drive the story.

It seems like Shrek has lost his edge. Cute, but not entirely funny. Donkey and Puss in Boots provide little to the story.

Basic Wes Anderson...Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson, weird camera shots, slow motion walking dolly shots, '60's music. Kind of slow and boring.

What an awful waste of a comic book. Some of the worse dialog ever. Ghost Rider effects were good, but not enough of them. Also, what a waste of Sam Elliott's Grave Digger. How stupid was it to have him use up his last Ghost Rider power just for a music montage.

I only saw this because I was stuck in a hotel and it was on HBO. Pretty stupid and annoying. I guess chicks like this kind of stuff. I don't understand why.

Pretty bad overall, one or two funny scenes, but not worth sitting through the entire movie.

Epic waste of time. These film makers need to learn the art of parody, because this is just a bunch of crap thrown together with fart jokes. I didn't laugh once.

I can see why this wasn't the most commercially successful Pixar fllm, but there was much I liked about it. I liked the passion for food, I liked the critic angle, I liked Collette. Visually it was incredible. Just taking in the moss on the roofs, the rain and the wet cobblestones, the hair and fur. Incredible. Worth watching just for that.

De3cent comedy. I like how it parodies the rock and roll cliiches. Pretty much middle of road, but the music was actually good.
