300 (2007, R)
I thought it was a bloody mess! The violence was excessively explicit, and the sex/nudity was so much I thought I was watching a porno! Although I agree that the bloodiness was for the most part probably realistic, it is war after all, I just don't think we need to be putting all that crap in our minds and desensitizing ourselves. I do admit to enjoying myself despite the blood, and when no nudity was onscreen, but the bad in this movie far outways the good! |

Transformers (2007, PG-13)
Contrary to early misplaced expectations of it, this is NOT a kids movie. It has alot of thematic, mature, violent, and sexual content for which I am very displeased with it! |

3:10 to Yuma (2007, R)
It was a great movie! Good acting, good action, and good character development make this the best western I've ever seen! Granted I haven't seen too many westerns, but still, I doubt that any could be as action packed and fast paced as this one. I still want to watch the original, but I'd be willing to bet this is one of those rare remakes that are better than the original. |

The Mist (2007, R)
It felt true to the story throughout most of the movie. It was a very good creepy movie. But the end was very depressing. It had a huge emotional effect on me. The wrong kind. I would've loved to have rated it 5 stars, and it started out as one of the best Stephen King adaptions I have seen as of yet, but the ending was just horrible. |

National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007, PG)
A very good movie! I can't decide which NT is better. This one had bigger badder stunts and clues, but it also made it less believable. Justin Bartha as Riley was given more room to work with and better lines and he pulled it off brilliantly! I haven't been able to stop saying "I wish a girl could see me do that." since I saw it! |
