I've seen it twice in the past 24 hours. I don't do this that often...at all...or maybe even ever. Incredible writing, Incredible acting, Incredibly directing, Incredible character development, Incredible (anything). This movie caught me way off gurard because it has such a different style than Batman Begins. There were a few plot goofs, but they're nothing worth mentioning. I was never for Maggie Gyllenhaal to replace Katie Holmes because of continuity issues. It's just a filmmaking a pet peeve...Great job Heath Ledger. He puts on the best acting performance in the best movie of the year, so far. The Joker controls the screen. Ledger's performance is the best I've seen since Emile Hirsch in Into the Wild and Sean Penn in Mystic River.

What an incredibly intelligent "clusterfuck" of a story? I'm still pondering the point of the essentially pointless 'CIA satire.' The movie is driven almost entirely by the variety of characters; (to be honest, Spoiler Alert, I was bummed when Chad went down). McDormand and Pitt clashed very well with John Malkovich.

Easily the best Pixar movie on my list. There is a much bigger picture than what the trailer had given it off to be.

Wow! What were they thinking when they made this?: "Well since we don't have a very strong story and our actors are officially senior citizens, why don't we just make the most unrealistic and cheesiest Indy possible to cover for it?" Well, it worked! The movie played out like a satire of the other three Indiana Jones movies with the 80's lighting effect. I loved the cheese-covered-corniness of the various ridiculous events. The movie is definitely a summertime movie and don't go into the movie expecting to see Raiders: Take Two.

FSM is a very interestingly made movie. It seems like a compilation of scenes and settings with a few flashbacks, but the writing was very well-done and the movie comes together very nicely.

I have never been a comic book person, and that is the main reason why I cannot rate it higher. The movie has good substance, but not fantastic. It is aimed for comic book fans who already know the story. The very finite details are hard to catch when you're not a fan. Edward Norton plays a very good Bruce Banner, but he didn't really ever get a chance to show off his true acting abilities. Liv Tyler was boring, plain and simple, and her dad, W. Hurt, was also a bit dull. Tim Roth, on the other hand, played a very good bad guy, but his character went too undeveloped even though he filled his role very well. My last comment is about the action scenes. They were fantastic! The sound seemed a little choppy at times, but all the masculinity made up for it!
Spoiler Alert: And wow. RDJr? The future should be cool.

This is definitely a parody reaching abroad. The beginning and the very, very end were both fantastic, but the story didn't have the depth elsewhere. The movie is character driven, but some characters carry the movie better than others (RDJ > Ben S.) and that makes the movie dull in some areas more than others. Plus, my pet peeves of product placement and obvious, well-known references are used frequently. The movie could have been more well rounded.

The movie was very satisfying. The screenplay, special effects, and acting were all very good, but I was very underwhelmed with the ending. Don't get me wrong, it was good. But I thought that the arch nemesis of Iron Man should've gone out with a bigger bang than he did. But maybe it was better than I think, and it just didn't live up to the month-long hype that it has been building on before I finally saw it. But that ending quote was definitely amazing! IMO, The Incredible Hulk over Iron Man.

The humor seemed like an "inside joke." A lot of the jokes would be more well understood if you were also under the influence as all of the characters in the film were. It was very funny, but it wasn't overwhelming. The plot was decent, and the ending was funny and over the top. Good, fun, and Unclean.

This movie is a very, very good animation movie...for your pre-13-year-olds. To go along with the incredible animation, everyone will love the mixed quick-paced and slow-motion action sequences, but I wanted more. There were a few good jokes here and there, but overall there wasn't enough wittiness to break the threshold. The screenplay was too one-dimensional. The fat jokes/comments combined with other lines which had vocabulary words such as "Whoa!", "Awesome(ness)!", and even simply "Yea!" dumbed down the movie's potential. But, in a nutshell, the action scenes and some clever jokes sufficed.

It has the good looks with the cast and the special effects, but the movie is ultimately unsatisfying. The SFX are wickedly cheesy and the usual story with its plot twists will have you saying, "Whoooa, I did not see that one coming" in a sarcastic tone.

(2008, PG-13)
The potential is there, but the opportunity was not taken. The movie adaptation of Bringing Down the House is poorly executed. The story wasn't bad. There were some interesting turns here and there, but the movie's screenplay was bland and boring. The acting seemed a bit unbalanced; the entire cast lacked chemistry, especially J. Sturgess and K. Bosworth.

I cannot explain how bad this movie was. The only thing I would like to remember was the theater experience and telling my friends, "I told you so." The screenplay was driving me insane the whole movie, especially when it came to that Gema chick. The one part that I did enjoy was when he caught the hat. That was cool, but nearly everything else nearly put me to tears.

I have no prior SatC watching experience, so I don't have a lot of insight. I would assume that the humor is very girly/very lame, and from what I saw, the movie is that! The screenplay was trashy and the story kept going and going. It was one big episode, but that might have been what the producers were aiming for. Although, I did laugh at one part: "Fur is murder!!!"

Nutshell: Good SFX, poor screenplay and acting, and not a well thought-out movie.
