Cloverfield (2008, PG-13)
All I have to say is 'wow'. And 'bravo!'. This was a very good movie! They tried something new, and it works! They already have at least 2 other movies coming out using this ploy of average joe's and their cameras. But back to this movie, it was very suspenseful and entertaining. The way it didn't give you all the answers at the end added to it's charm. My only complaint is with the violence... this earned a very hard PG-13. I was surprised by what they let get by in it. Not a movie for the faint of heart or nauseous. |

I think it was amazing! One of the best movies of the summer so far if you can believe that! It was really funny, pretty action packed (for a cartoon), and it had Jackie Chan in it!! It might be a little intense at points for very young children, but for the most part it's cartoony violence. I love kung fu movies, so maybe I'm a little biased, but there's something in this movie for everyone, even if they don't get all the classic martial arts film style referneces. All the pandomonium is true, prepare for awesomeness, skadoosh! |
