Back to the Future (1985,  PG)
Back to the Future
Marty McFly: Wait a minute, Doc. Ah... Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?
Dr. Emmett Brown: The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?
Back To The Future is definitely one of the largest film icons of the 1980s and it stood the test of time. Michael J Fox was the perfect choice to play Marty McFly. Lloyd 's a standout as the crazed scientist. What's not to love about this classic gem. Magnificent soundtrack from Huey Lewis and the news, remember the hit The power of love? A wonderful time travel sci fi comedy.

Back to the Future Part II (1989,  PG)
Back to the Future Part II
The sequel here has better effects and a better storyline. The plot has more twists and turns. Loads of fun gadgets here. For me, it's a visual treat watching McFly working the futuristic hoverboard and that thing is better and cooler than a skateboard. BTTF2 will not make sense to you unless you have seen and comprehended the first movie of the trilogy. From the present, to the future, back to the present, then back to the past, buckle up and enjoy the phenomenal ride.

Back to the Future Part III (1990,  PG)
Back to the Future Part III
The last part of the trilogy brings McFly back to the old west with cowboys, Indians and of course, a Delorean. This time the story is simpler than the 2nd, however it is still very entertaining. This high-powered and high-tech movie wraps up the trilogy nicely.

Mou gaan dou (Infernal Affairs) (2002,  R)
Mou gaan dou (Infernal Affairs)
Well its about time I got to watch this absolutely unbelievably superb drama. Andy Lau and Tony Leung, fantastic in their individual roles as the mob mole and undercover cop. Never did expect the funny man of Hong Kong cinema, Eric Tsang as the triad boss but he held his own. Don t just watch the infernal affairs, you ve got to get the whole package. Now I m chomping to watch 2 and 3. Don t expect a lot of shooting and high body count scenes. In my list it is among the best cop thrillers I have ever seen.

Infernal Affairs II (2003,  PG-13)
Infernal Affairs II
I would consider IA 2 a somewhat successful prequel to the earlier hit Internal Affairs. There are more shooting scenes and violence compared to the first. However I do miss the performances of the two A list male leads, Andy and Tony. I do have difficulty in catching the Cantoneses phases at times, so instead of taking 119 mins to finish, it took me 30 mins longer. I found that there seem to be too many plots in this prequel, it can get confusing. Many new characters here too. Overall it is not as good as the first but it is still a satisfying piece of drama.

Infernal Affairs III (Mou gaan dou III: Jung gik mou gaan) (2003,  PG-13)
Infernal Affairs III (Mou gaan dou III: Jung gik mou gaan)
. One who had not seen the first IA, will not be able to comprehend it. There are very frequent flashback scenes with many interlacing of stories. A complex but very intriguing end to the trilogy.

Spider-Man 3 (2007,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 3
Reasons why I saw this:
1. Impressive CGI effects
2. Enjoyed S1 and 2 tremendously
3. New villains Venom(Topher Grace putting on some serious muscle for this and looking cool and evil) and Sandman played wonderfully by Thomas Hayden Church.
4. Tempting movie trailer that knocked my socks off.

Reasons that made me cringed:
1. Cheesy plot, too much love story this time.
2. Peter Parker strutting like a male rooster and oh please he can t dance!
3.Kirsten Dunst - getting whinnier and more annoying

Disappointing:
1. Oh what a tangled web we weaved. Too many stories going on here.
2. Not enough character development. Venom's screen time was too short.
Sam Raimi, please redeem yourself in Spider man 4.

Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl
Viewed this swashbuckling fantasy again and found it to be just as good as it was the first time. So it's two and a half hours long. I didn't notice it. Depp's performance aside, the best element of this 2003 picture is the story, a sweeping action-adventure story. It was stylishly designed and shot. Let's not forget Geoffrey Rush, he was suitably menacing and chilling with a touch of humor. A true treasure of a movie!
23
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
The Davy Jones character was fantastic, played so convincingly by Bill Nighy. The costume designs were even more outstanding and the locations look just breathtaking in Blue Ray. POTC 2 is indeed darker than the first. It is still filled with lots of action and adventure but I found it to be lacking of freshness in story. Some of the best dialogues came from the 1st POTC.
24
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (2007,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
At wits end, I must say! This one in my opinion deserves to walk the plank, fed to the sharks. POTC 1 was too amazing for words. POTC 2 was not bad but the 3rd, where to start? The first problem with the movie is that Jack Sparrow isn't seen for half an hour and when he does come on, it one of the worst opening scene for him. You can find some of the most dimwitted dialogue here. The story was too long, clocking in at almost three hours. By the time it ends I got a tad seasick.
25
Mission Impossible (1996,  PG-13)
Mission Impossible
When I first viewed it back 96, I must admit it was confusing to me and did not comprehend the plot very well. The old TV series was a winning formula and old favourite of mine, so naturally I had high expectations for the movie. Watching it the 2nd time, I came to appreciate the complexity of this movie. With the many twists and turns, whose are the bad guys and who are good ones, it does keep one at the edge of one's seat.

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown (2006,  PG)
48
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3) (2009,  PG)
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3)
Gosh I had tremendous fun when I watched this. I laughed so hard, I felt like a kid again, so mesmerised with the lovable characters. The animation just gets better and better. So what if some people said it is not realistic to have dinos in them as they were long extinct before the ice age, just enjoy for what it is and let your imagination flow. It is a worthy addition to the Ice Age trilogy.

Underworld: Evolution (2006,  R)
Underworld: Evolution
A superb sequel for fans.
60
Underworld: The Rise of the Lycans (2009,  R)
Underworld: The Rise of the Lycans
It is by far the worst of the 3. Was disappointed with the battle between Lycans n Vampires. They could have done better fight scenes.. Especially Lucian's fight with Viktor. It didn't have much of a spark in it, it ended rashly.A disappointing prequel.
