Borderland (2007, R)
It's a creepy film, not so much scary. Of course it had some laughable cheese but overall i enjoyed it. I was absolutely in awe of the shroomin' carnival scene. They could have gone all cliché with the distortion but instead they used a great genuinely trippy camera speed trick. For a while there i was angry at the lack of horror action but that was made up for at the end. |

Tooth and Nail (2007, R)
the reason why the world ended at the beginning seemed a bit contrived and heavy-handed; liberal agenda anyone? but for a movie about cannibalism i didn't seem much munching down on the flesh of humans. i liked some of the gore & michael madsen is always kinda cool. twist=lame but better than some of the other after dark crap |

Lake Dead (2007, R)
GIANT PIECE OF CRAP! i mean once i saw the slutty bitch show her nasty tits i was done. these cunts can't write or act for shit. i wanted to slit my wrists 5 mins in. the only worthy line after lengthy fast-fww i cracked up when the mom said "take her into the barn; more romantic like our 1st time" that was the only time i was entertained. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. |
