One of my favorite movies.

I've seen this movie a million times and it just gets me every time... I always cry. It's SOOO funny and so precious and heart-warming.

Exciting. Thrilling. Romantic.

Great songs... great spectacle.

When she falls in love with a penniless handsome youth, she feels that she does not deserve him because of her character so she reluctantly breaks his heart so that he will go away and find someone better than her. But his love is true and eternal...

This movie challenges what Hollywood says the true meaning of love is. It is not selfish. It is sacrificial. It is everlasting. It puts others first, is patient, loyal, does not hold grudges, and is always forgiving. Your average romance picture is boy meets girl, love at first sight, break up, get back together, happily ever after. This movie leaves all those in the dust!!!

Heart-warming fairy-tale. I wish it didn't have such sexy scenes. They were not needed to express the wholesome message of the movie.

Reminds me of my childhood. A beautiful, emotional movie that is a treasure and a masterpiece. It truly captures the depth of humanity.

This was a very personal one for me. Not since high school when I saw “The Quiet Room� have I lost it emotionally when watching a movie. This one affected me so deeply that I bawled like a baby. It brought back a lot of painful memories. It’s a story about a family torn apart by alcoholism and the love that keeps them knitted together.

I laughed the whole time!

It was a unique movie. The makers are very creative. I thought it was cute. I wish there wasn't sexuality in it. Then it would be perfect.

What I liked about this movie is the message that all men are equal and the color of their skin should not matter. The thing I didn't like about the movie is that the fact that they JUST MET was not a factor in the parents' decision of whether they would give the blessing. It seems to me that no one took into consideration that they only knew each other for ten days and then they wanted to commit the rest of their lives to loving one another based on a FEELING. The father says at the pinicle of the movie, "It doesn't matter a damn what we think. The only thing that matters is what they feel and how much they feel for each other." Love is not about a feeling. It's about a commitment to serve one another and care for one another until death separates. It is about a friendship (which I don't know if they could establish in ten days even if they did spend every moment together.) Anyway, I really think this movie would be more powerful if they hadn't met ten days ago rather they'd gotten to know each other better over time. But I don't know... maybe you could get to know someone in ten days. Anyway, there were some great moments like when John said to his dad, "You think of yourself as a colored man and I think of myself as a man."

Not really a romance in the true sense of the word, but this thriller was very romantic!

Even though Forrest had an IQ of 75... Forrest lives an incredibly amazing life... more full than most. His adventures are touching, uplifting, tender, and bittersweet. I remember seeing this movie in tenth grade and all I could remember was war scenes and running. But after seeing it again now that I am older... I appreciate it so much more. It is a good movie to watch when you need a true to life movie that has a happy ending... where people overcome odds, follow their dreams, and get what they deserve.

Little known precious gem.
