1
The Deer Hunter (1978,  R)
The Deer Hunter
After a slow start ?Deerhunter? evolves into an impressive piece of cinema history, with the ability to have as strong an impact today as it did at the time of it?s release.

With an impressive cast and strong performances by De Niro and Walken, this film totally pulls you in and really gets to your emotions.
2
True Romance (1993,  R)
True Romance
I'd actually forgotten I used to be a fan of Christian Slater, of course we don't seem to hear much of him now, but he and Patricia Arquette pull of this film as the main characters, accompanied of course by a strong cast of great actors. It's the ultimate story of love at first sight and of course romance. It has to be one of the funniest parts Brad Pitt has ever played.
3
Pulp Fiction (1994,  R)
Pulp Fiction
Another great from Tarantino. Who hasn't seen this film?
4
Sleepy Hollow (1999,  R)
Sleepy Hollow
I can never decide whether I like this film or not. I've watched it more than once so I guess there is something about it?
5
At Close Range (1986,  R)
At Close Range
It was clear to see in this film what a great actor Sean Penn was going to become. A very slender Chris Penn plays his on and off screen brother and the talented Christopher Walken his father.

Slightly drawn out, this film shows a teenage delinquent who is impressed by his real father's reputation and gets deeper and deeper into crime. The moral of the story gives out a very strong messge.

VERDICT: An enjoyable, but slightly slow to watch, but worth watching
6
The Dead Zone (1983,  R)
The Dead Zone
Dated, yet enjoyable, I like the idea of obtaining future telling abilities from having been woken from a long coma. It's a little weird, but it wouldn't be Stephen King if it wasn't now would it?
7
Catch Me If You Can (2002,  PG-13)
Catch Me If You Can
A very entertaining film based on a true story of a young man who cons his way into professions to make his living. Although this man is comitting serious fraud you can't help, but admire the way he went about doing it.
8
Envy (2004,  PG-13)
Envy
I think this movie was definitely underated and I think it didn't even make it to the cinema box office, but I found this funny in a Ben Stiller and Jack Black way.
9
Man on Fire (2004,  R)
Man on Fire
I'd forgotten what a great film this was, it's easy to remember it for the first half of the film, which seems a little predictable and then the second half of the film takes on a completely different tempo. I really liked the quirky way in which the sub-titles appeared on the screen, it added to urgency and menace of the scene.

A great revenge film.
10
Antz (1998,  PG)
Antz
Such a metaphorical film for many issues. Woody Allen was a great choice for the main character here, a great film to teach the kids about individuality.
11
Last Man Standing (1996,  R)
Last Man Standing
Not much to say about this film, as towards the end, I lost the plot a little through boredom. Had it not been for the stars in it, I don't think it would have any appeal at all.
12
Batman Returns (1992,  PG-13)
Batman Returns
Not as good as the first, I think the bad guys were a little weaker in this one, although I preferred Christopher Walken's part better than The Penguin or Catwoman.

VERDICT: A watchable follow up to the first, if you haven't seen it, wait for it to come on tv
13
Comfort of Strangers (1991,  R)
Comfort of Strangers
The synopsis of this film makes it sound much more interesting than it actually is. A bizarre story that just never seems to lift into anything remotely exciting, instead a slow, dull watch hoping for a glimpse of excitement, which never appears
14
All-American Murder (1991,  R)
All-American Murder
An odd film in the sense that it's corny and it feels like it was made in the 80's. It's weird that 'Diagnosis Murder's' Charlie Schlatter is starring in the same film as Christopher Walken, whom I would rate in a whole different level of acting. Also Charlie's character as a rebel seemed very oddly placed, despite this I quite enjoyed the plot and it made for easy (no-brainer) watching. Cheesy but watchable.
15
The Prophecy (1995,  R)
16
Basquiat (1996,  R)
Basquiat
An oddly compelling tale of an Artist, I had no previous knowledge of. The main character was very likeable as and with quite a star cast, this film does have entertainment value. It is based on the true story of the Artist and watches the rise and fall of the man.
17
The Stepford Wives (2004,  PG-13)
The Stepford Wives
Ok, I had been warned off before watching, but I had to watch it, it was in an Ebay job lot that I?d bought. Despite some good Actors among the cast, it?s not a great film, in fact it?s quite a silly one, but I have to say as ridiculous as it was, I didn?t actually get bored watching it.
18
Annie Hall (1977,  PG)
Annie Hall
A totally unique take on a love story, with very enjoyable performances by both Woody Allen and Diane Keaton. A great character who is filled with anxious energy and conspiracy theories, who babbles his way through educated quotes and half serious jokes, an enjoyable comedy which devles into the depths of the over thinker.

    8TH MARCH 2009

Christopher Walken can be very much a hit or a miss kind of Actor, having proved himself in a number of great performances only to follow with some unusual choices of roles.
