An American Haunting (2006,  PG-13)
An American Haunting
A well acted film of this genre, perhaps because of it?s claim that it is based on true events.

I particularly liked the ending which I felt turned the whole film around from just being watchable to pretty entertaining and of course realising it?s authenticity.

A Time to Kill (1996,  R)
A Time to Kill
This film is probably the most emotionally powerful film I've ever watched. If this doesn't pull at your heart strings nothing will.
3
Instinct (1999,  R)
Instinct
An interesting tale, a story of trust and psychology. Not a huge fan of Cuba Gooding Jr, but he didn't do a bad job in this role as the psychiatrist. Hopkins providing another good performance,

VERDICT: Certainly worth watching, not on your gonna watch over and over though
4
The Italian Job (2003,  PG-13)
The Italian Job
Not the best heist film I've ever seen, but a strong cast (half of which I'd forgotten was in this film) and an easy sit back and and just watch with no complicated working out - a film for a lazy day!
5
The Rosary Murders (1987,  R)
The Rosary Murders
A little dated, but a watchable film, however if you're looking for gore, there's none to see
6
Backdraft (1991,  R)
Backdraft
Not as good as I remember this film being, but I think that might be due to the special effects, they seemed so great at the time, but we've come a long way since.

VERDICT: Worth watching if it comes on tv
7
Don't Look Now (1973,  R)
Don't Look Now
This is a Horror film based on horrific circumstances that the main characters find themselves in, as opposed to scary.

I think I'm in the minority here when say I found the film dull and despite it's claim to be an influence on many other Directors, I failed to see the appeal of this films.

Also having wanted to see Donald Sutherland as a younger Actor, disappointingly, it seems I haven?t missed out on an much, which is proof that some Actors get better with age.

Citizen X (1995,  R)
Citizen X
Despite this film being a true story and an horific tale, the actual film isn't one to hold your attention too well. A likeable part by Donald Sutherland (I guess you would need to be Russian to say whether the cast managed to pull the accents off well).

    12TH MARCH 2009

Donald Sutherland, I feel is an Actor who has improved with age and makes a good co-star as opposed to the main Actor. There are still many of his films I'm yet to see and am gradually working my way through.
