The Big Lebowski (1998,  R)
The Big Lebowski
This seems to have a bit of a cult following, at the beginning when I was watching, I thought yes it's watchable, I love Jeff Bridges, but it's just a watchable film, however already I'm thinking back to scenes in the film and in hindsight I can now see the appeal
2
Secret Window (2004,  PG-13)
Secret Window
It's all about the ending with this film, a good story with a good twist
3
Miller's Crossing (1990,  R)
Miller's Crossing
I really chose the wrong state of mind to watch this in, as it needed plenty of concentration (something I was lacking in at that moment). It soon became relevant that I?d missed parts of the storyline which were relevant, yet really enjoyed the last half of this film. I hope to watch this again fairly soon, to pick up on the bits that I missed.

It seemed an impressive role for Gabriel Byrne, who I tend to find a complete hit, or a complete miss in most films he is in (and always reminds me of Pacino),

Looking forward to my next viewing of this old Mobster film, where I can guarantee my rating will go up.

O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000,  PG-13)
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
A great comedy from the Coen Brothers, with some truly memorable funny moments, both Clooney and Turturro are natural born comics and the songs throughout suited the film excellently. If I had to complain about anything it would be the sometimes long spaces between the funny parts.
5
Anger Management (2003,  PG-13)
Anger Management
Hillarously, frustratingly funny, my favourite Adam Sandler film, would drive anybody to anger. Jack Nicholson's performance was so irritatingly good.
6
Rounders (1998,  R)
Rounders
I was slightly disappointed at this film, given that it was a good cast, particularly as Ed Norton was part of that cast.

There was really no excitement throughout, when you compare it to such films as Lock, Stock.. which had relatively short couple of scenes playing poker, it was transformed to a viewer in a way that made you feel the emotions of the roller coaster ride the characters were taking and yet this film never managed to get anywhere near that.

I was certainly expecting a little more razzle dazzle.
7
Transformers (2007,  PG-13)
Transformers
Pleasantly surprising with a good storyline. ?Transformers? is certainly effective with it?s impressive ?Robots in disguise? transformation. What made this film for me was the performance by Shia LaBeouf who is truly a natural comic.

As a kid, I never watched the original series and so I had nothing to compare this with, I therefore had no preconceived expectations.

A very enjoyable watch with impressive effects.

Often in comedy roles and often associated with The Coen Bros, John Turturro is a must have side-kick, who has played many an interesting role. This is a man who suits being a co-star rather than the main star, but he's great at what he does.
