Marvin's Room (1996,  PG-13)
Marvin's Room
I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with this film on a few different levels. Firstly great acting all around, the main topic of illness, was dealt with very well, plus Dicaprio's character behaviour problems were captured in a way I have never seen before and was very realistic.

...First Do No Harm (1997,  PG-13)
...First Do No Harm
A subject close to my heart which made for emotional viewing. A Mother?s love and determination to do absolutely anything it takes to make her son well.

Meryl Streep as always gives her role everything she has and the rest of the main cast played good roles too.

I can?t see any Mother?s out there not liking or relating their feelings to this film, a great watch.
3
The Deer Hunter (1978,  R)
The Deer Hunter
After a slow start ?Deerhunter? evolves into an impressive piece of cinema history, with the ability to have as strong an impact today as it did at the time of it?s release.

With an impressive cast and strong performances by De Niro and Walken, this film totally pulls you in and really gets to your emotions.
4
Falling in Love (1984,  PG-13)
Falling in Love
I?m not sure I like De Niro so much in romantic roles, he was still pretty good in this and so was Meryl Streep, but I just prefer his other tougher roles, I guess he did too, otherwise he would have made more. Maybe the romance was not tragic enough for my liking.

Still, a good watch, but not high up on the De Niro/Streep leader board of films.
5
Death Becomes Her (1992,  PG-13)
Death Becomes Her
Some funny scenes in this light hearted, black comedy. Meryl Streep, as you?ve never seen her before.

A fun watch, but one to wait for on tv.
6
Kramer vs. Kramer (1979,  PG)
Kramer vs. Kramer
Such a well known film and yet my first viewing of it and I really enjoyed it.

My first thought was that women everywhere have been bringing up children and balancing work etc for years and years and along comes a man that does it and bam, a big film, however - I feel this films highlights how difficult life is for a single parent regardless of their gender.
7
A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001,  PG-13)
A.I. Artificial Intelligence
Steven Speilberg?s modern take on the classic Pinnochio story is a high quality special effects film. With interesting characters and what starts out to be a magical futuristic story, soon turns out to a be a darkened tale of love and loss.

    8TH MARCH 2009

Considered as one of Hollywood's greatest Actresses, I am working my way through her filmography and am so far pretty impressed. I'm sure it won't take too long to include Meryl Streep in my A1 Actors lists.
as I've not yet watched many of her great films, if you have any order in which you feel I should watch them, feel free to leave a comment below.
