Iron Man (2008,  PG-13)
Iron Man 5.0 Stars
Now I need to go and adjust all the 5 star ratings I've given to other movies, because not a single one can compare to Iron Man. I was hoping this movie would be good, I was expecting to be disappointed. But hallelujah! I was blown away! There is no way to describe how awesome this movie was, it completely redefines what a superhero move can, and should, be (it makes spiderman or batman or any competition look lazy). Also this movie had something that almost all the latest big blockbusters have lacked...a deep solid storyline coupled with strong emotion. It made the movie all the more rare, believable, and intense. And lastly Robert Downey Jr. completely revamps the superhero type and in a very humorous refreshing way.

The Dark Knight (2008,  PG-13)
The Dark Knight
I'm really torn over this movie, I don't know whether to give it one star or five. What I loved about this movie was Heath Ledger, his performance was jaw-dropping! He was so original and didn't follow a single stereotype and he lit up the screen with his sheer insanity. He wasn't Heath Ledger at all he became the joker 110%.

What I couldn't stand was all the violence, I mean, I know it's a batman movie and batman has to kick butt but this was too much. All the ways the joker kills and tortures people was terrifying. I felt physically sick after this movie. I should have walked out in the first ten minutes but i guess I was holding out for some rays of hope in the ending. Wrong. That another thing I didn't like, there was no hope, the ending was just as dark as the rest of it. They give us that "the night is darkest just before the dawn" talk but we never get to see the dawn. I was ticked!

I'll admit I really like Harvey Dent, he was a very unique character and there's a lot of symbolism surrounding him that comes back and slaps you later.

Despite this movie's triumphs and Ledger's hilariously terrifying performance I probably will not watch it again, the violence just goes too far.

An amazing experience! It's a piece of pure art with tons of action, love, and suspense. If you get a chance see the extended DVD version, it's long...but so worth it!! The extended version has like three huge battle scenes with monsters that are left out of the movie and they are amazing!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 3.0 Stars
Personally I liked the Indiana Jones movies better when they dealt with the religious artifacts like the grail and not with aliens. This just felt a little too science-fictiony for Indiana. Also the story line wasn't very clear, about half-way through I forgot what they were doing with the skull anyways. I'm not saying it was all bad though, the action was 100% Indiana Jones!

First just let me say that I want to find the visuals crew and kiss every one of them! The visuals were enough t make your heart stop and your jaw hit the floor, it was beyond incredible! My only complaint is that the story seemed very trite and it was trying to be deeper than it needed to be.

This movie was ok I guess, it just felt so uptight. It didn't explain a lot and it ends on the worst cliffhanger! Nicole Kidamn was pretty amazing and Mr. Scoresby too but other than that I wasn't too impressed.

Spider-Man 3 (2007,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 3 1.5 Stars
ARGH!!!! Someone please make a threequel that doesn't destroy the series! First there was pirates 3 then shrek 3 and now THIS! I absolutely LOVE spiderman but they ruined him, ruined him I say! They turned him into a complete jerk and they never really did anything to make you like him again. There was so much other stuff going on that they didn't seem to know how to wrap it all up. So they end up killing off all the good characters, ruining the ones that did survive and the end of the movie feels like a hundred little puzzle pieces trying to jam themselves back together. Why couldn't they have kept it simple, four villains is too much for one movie anyways. The whole venom/Eddie problem would have been enough for one movie, but they decided to go cram in a bunch of other fluff and it just didn't work. And also, why was the scting so ...bad? I felt like I was watching a soap opera. I was frustrated after seeing this movie

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (2007,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End 1.0 Star
I wanted to like this movie, I really did, I even bought tickets for the midnight showing. But I was terribly disappointed. The first movie was so amazing, it had an interesting story, witty lines, and action. This movie had buckets of over-the-top action sequences...but that's it. There was no story. Did anyone even take the time to write a script or did someone just tape together all the ideas from the suggestion box. I was so disappointed, the action scenes and visual effects were amazing but they seemed so pointless without a solid story behind them.
