actor 7: bruce willis movies
bruce willis is definitely one of my favorite actors, mostly because he just ends up in films i really enjoy. sometimes his performance may not even be what stands out. I have probably seen more films featuring willis than any other actor.

i just watched this for the second time and first since its release. my feelings on the film havent changed much, but its great to get a reminder of how good something is. the cinematography was great and the story well told. although this is one of my least favorite shyamalan films, its one of his better executed movies for sure. great film. |

The Astronaut Farmer (2006, PG)
i loved this movie but i was fairly conflicted while watching it. in some regards the main character was a great family man concerned about his family above all else. in other regards he put his own dreams before the well being of his own family in a major way. ultimately it was a good family film and a delight to watch. you really root for the guy to get to space the whole time and they didnt try and tell too much story. they told what they needed to. i was suprised to see bruce willis in this film because they didnt promote him when the movie came out in theatres, he has a decently important role in this film even though it is a small one. |

The Siege (1998, R)
this is an excellent movie. denzel does a great job as usual of taking a decent movie and making it better with his on screen presence and the plot was great. tony shaloub was also cool and him being middle eastern as an FBI agent in a movie were the bad guys are all middle eastern was a cool dynamic. great movie. |

a strong story, interesting cinematography and set design, excellent music, and perfect cast would have given this film what it needed to become an instant classic and one of my favorite films. unfortunately a few vulgar, typical, and pointless contemporary movie devices plagued this film a bit to take it down a few notches to an above average film. could have been great, was still pretty good. |

Live Free or Die Hard (2007, PG-13)
this movie certainly had its moments, and it was entertaining, but it was by far the weakest of the franchise. willis did a great job of reprising his role, this was most evident in the scene where we catch him arguing with himself which is a john mcclane trademark. however much of the action was contrived and fantasaical, far too over the top to be enjoyable let alone believeable, and the badguy was weak. this should have been much better. |

Four Rooms (1996, R)
what a terrible movie. this is 90 minutes that i will never get back. what a waste of time. this is a film about 4 rooms in a hotel where different scenes take place. the common character is the bell boy and he expiriences each room. each stupid, pointless, unrealistic and rediculous room. 4 directors worked on this film, one for each room. the only reason that im giving this movie 1 star instead of a half of a star is because one of the rooms, the one directed by robert rodriquez, had a little boy in it that was really funny. he provides a few funny moments to a very pointless film. i had many people recommend this film to me, and all it did was prove to me that quintin tarantino is very overrated. |
