Actor: Kiefer Sutherland
The first time I ever saw him act was in 'The Lost Boys', and I literally fell in love as soon as he appeared on screen. (Talk about love at first sight.) A fantastic actor, and definitely one of my favourites, although I still have so many of his movies to watch. So I hope to see all of the movies he starred in one day..
So far it's in order of personal preference.

The Vanishing (1993, R)
A very suspenseful thriller, which kept me thinking and guessing the whole time. It brings up many questions, such as where obsessions, curiosity and "testing yourself" will lead you to. Nearly perfect for me, except it was a bit too built up for an ending like that - a good ending but, not exactly what I thought it would be. The coffee joke was a bit silly too. But I think the acting performances, especially Kiefer Sutherland's, more than make up for those flaws. |

Flashback (1990, R)
Hilarious movie, much better than I thought it would be. I was really in it for seeing Kiefer Sutherland, who in my opinion is a wonderful actor, but it ended up being a great film as well. I enjoyed how two very constracting characters came together, and in the end, influenced eachother for the better and even liked eachother. Some very funny scenes, and very nice and heart-warming ending as well. |

Phone Booth (2003, R)
This is an excellent thriller, considering the whole movie is focused around a telephone booth, as well as the fact that the majority of it really is just dialogue. Colin Farrell excellently played the victim, and Kiefer Sutherland was excellent as the killer (and what a voice the man has; perfectly suited for this role.) One of those movies that I can enjoy from time to time, and still feel that "rush" that thriller movies give. |

Mirrors (2008, R)
One of the better horror films of the 00's (decent horror films these days seem to be very rare.) Kiefer Sutherland's performance was excellent, as always, making the movie much more enjoyable to watch. The movie itself was pretty decent, but what really got me was that ending. In many cases, I think an ending can either make or break a movie, especially since it is the last thing you see. This one definitely made it. I thought it was absolutely wild and something totally unexpected, so for that I felt it deserved a 4 rather than a 3.5. |
