Anger Management (2003, PG-13)
Despite the opinion of many movie critics, I found 'Anger Management' to be a funny film. The funnier moments come when Adam Sandler's nurotic Dave Buznik is wrongly sentenced to anger management therapy from Jack Nicholson's Dr. Buddy Rydell. Buddy's methods are questionable to say the least and Dave does his best to endure the painstaking 'treatment'. Sandler and Nicholson work well together. There is chemistry there and they work well off each other like most great comedic pairings do. A better example of this would be Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro in the Meet the Parents movies. However, 'Anger Management' fails miserably in its writing. It isn't enough to pit Sandler and Nicholson in silly embarrising situations. A lot of it doesn't make sense and loses credibility, whenever the film looks like it's building to something it doesn't. And the 'twist' ending was just ridiculous. |

Reign Over Me (2007, R)
This film was quite moving. The chemistry between Alan and Charlie was touching and the performances by Cheadle and Sandler respectfully were amazing. Like in 'Punch Drunk Love', here Sandler shows that he can bring real depth in a serious role. The scene where he opens up to Alan in the therapist office was tear jerking. Cheadle also continues to impress me. The plot's personal look at post 9/11 was like in 'The Deer Hunter', where in that movie it was not so much about Vietnam than it was about how tragedy affects the individuals . Oh and Suffron Burrows as Donna is pretty. |

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007, PG-13)
It was stuck in one joke and didn't know how to get out. The side gags weren't funny and were mostly lame. Also, it was basically a rip-off of Strange Bedfellows. It follows the formula of Sandler's recent comedies (Deeds, 50 first Dates) which is a shame because he has showed us in the past that he is a funny man (Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison). The best thing about the movie was Steve Buscemi. |

I have to admit i'm not a big Adam Sandler fan but i think Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer are great.I also like Anger Management.I thought Little Nicky and Billy Madison were ok to.I saw Click recently,it wasn't bad but went on a bit.Kate Beckinsale was in it though so that made it easier to watch, she could make a film about bin bags look good!
