Outstanding thriller from Bogdanovich, who also has a medium sized part as a script writer.
Karloff, in the first non-horror I have seen him in, is remarkable as ageing horror star Byron Orlok (an obvious reference to Nosferatu). He brought a certain wit to the role no one else would have done and puts up with a leg injury (which you may notice whilst watching), which isn't in the script. Tim O' Kelly is horrifying as the calm killer with no remorse-he was a wonderful new comer at the time and it's a shame he didn't act much afterwards.

Not to be missed! Buy it, rent it, borrow it from a friend, whatever, just get your hands on it as soon as you can!
