AFI's 100 Years... 100 Movies (10th Anniversary Edition)

I know of no other film like it. The emotion rawness of De Niro's LaMotta passes off the screen and into you. You seem to be able to connect with him even though there are no similarities. Also, this has go down as one of the most depressing films ever made. Watching LaMotta turn into a train-wreck is anything but enjoyable. Absolutely fantastic. A true masterpiece.

A great, grand film. Though some may be annoyed with its length, the films power can not be denied.

One of the all time great horror movies. This film not only chills, it frightens with it's sick characters and haunting cinematography. The character of Norman Bates seems so very innocent throughout the entire film yet he is one of the sickest villains of all time. This film is a masterpiece in ever aspect.

A powerful film assaulting Hollywood. Gloria Swanson's performance is icy and unnerving while the film is complimented by William Holden's steady performance as Joe Gillis. Between the great dialog and the strong performances, it is no wonder that this film is so loved. A brilliantly crafted noir that has you guessing what is going on throughout. As well done as any 40s Noir, this film shows you that in the end, everything doesn't always work out.

Very funny film that seems as more of a spoof of 30s comedies than one itself. Jack Lemmon is dynamite. Marilyn Monroe is quite hot and Tony Curtis is...well he's just Tony Curtis but we won't hold it against him.

Touching.

A little-underwhelming at the end, but capable of such tension that few films ever achieve.

Once you've seen it, it changes you forever.

Definitely Woody Allen's best. This film has to go down as one of the best comedies of the twentieth century.

Fantastic thriller. Keeps you on the edge of your seat and when it's over, you want to watch it over again.
