People Will Talk (1951, Unrated)
If only the doctor Grant plays were real! His character is how we wish all doctors would be. I really liked the story in this movie, and the characters, and the plot. There's not much wrong with the movie except that a few scenes get boring. There was also a bit of mystery surrounding the characters, which makes you want to keep watching. Overall, I would recommend seeing this movie, it's enjoyable and gives you somethings to think about. Of course, it isn't as bold as it could be, but it is a very good movie. |

House On Haunted Hill (1959, Unrated)
This movie has a lot of creepy things happening in a haunted house, and there's even a back story for the ghosts, but then they go and explain that it was just the wife and her boyfriend trying to kill her husband and scare people and ordinary stuff like that. If only there were one last scare at the end, this could be a real horror movie, but the end disappoints you. |

Pal Joey (1957, Unrated) |

Les Quatre Cents Coups (The 400 Blows) (1959, Unrated)
This is a very realistic film, and the story is pretty universal. The children are good actors in this movie, too. The only part I didn't like was the ending, but there is a film that follows this one when the boys are older, so I can't complain. If you like neo-realism and french cinema, you should check out this movie. |
