The Thirteenth Floor
One of my favorite reality benders. Nicely done. Decent special effects for its time.
2
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004,  R)
3
Dark City (1998,  R)
Dark City
Its been one of my favorites for such a long time. Always a reliable dvd choice. Dark, murky, almost graphic novel like.
4
Donnie Darko (2001,  R)
Donnie Darko
Jake Gyllenhall's breakout movie. Well done in all aspects, writing, direction, and acting. The supporting actors are amazing.
5
Mulholland Drive (2001,  R)
Mulholland Drive
My favorite david lynch movie. twist and turns, fantasy, reality, never know quite whats going to happen.
6
Twelve Monkeys (12 Monkeys) (1995,  R)
Twelve Monkeys (12 Monkeys)
Best Bruce Willis movie ever! Esp for this sci-fi geek. twist turns, dark with a dry humor.
7
The Matrix (1999,  R)
The Matrix
Groundbreaking action movie. Keanu is limited, but his supporting actors make up for it. best of the trilogy.
8
Femme Fatale (2002,  R)
Femme Fatale
Before she was Mystique she was just as sneaky and dangerous in Femme Fatale. Well acted and written, I even liked Antonio Banderas in this one.
9
The Others (2001,  PG-13)
10
Silent Hill (2006,  R)
11
The Number 23 (2007,  R)
The Number 23
I'm biased for Jim Carey in his dramatic roles. But the suspense an mild twist was nicely done.
12
The Truman Show (1998,  PG)
13
The Dark Half (1993,  R)
The Dark Half
One of my favorite SK movies. Timothy Hutton does a great job as a bookish novelist who ends up having to defend his reality to save himself and his family. Touch spiritual in a way. What really constitutes a person's identity.
14
He Was A Quiet Man (2007,  Unrated)
He Was A Quiet Man
Just when I thought Slater was done for, he lands this gem of a role as a disgruntled progressively insane office worker. I don't know if its makeup that makes actors find their strength and let loose, but he did an amazing job in this movie.
15
Wild Palms (1993,  Unrated)
Wild Palms
Very David Lynch like TV Series. Bizarre, reality bending, conspiracies, and wonderfully crazy characters. One of my favorite movies, that was way ahead of its time and especially surprising that it was made for normal broadcast TV.
16
The Movie Hero (Frame of Mind) (2003,  Unrated)
The Movie Hero (Frame of Mind)
Fun "superhero" movie with a spoofish feel. Sisto, believes that he has an "audience" and that Stormare is his arch nemesis. His "antics" lead him to Meyer's who is his court appointed psychiatrist. The movie tries for a deeper meaning, with it possible that the "audience" is the soul or maybe the connection to god. Interesting movie overall, good for a lazy day.
17
El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) (2006,  R)
18
Brazil (1985,  R)
Brazil
big goverment and rich people ruining the world and the dreams of the individual. basically our future still. one of my favorite terry gilliam movies.
19
The Cell (2000,  R)
The Cell
Im not a huge JLo fan, but this is my favorite movie of hers. Its a great surreal fantasy movie. There's alot of assumptions made here and there which for anal retentatives is going to drive them crazy. I just loved the amazing dream sequences. Probably couldn't have been written better here and there and extended the dream sequences, but overall I truly enjoyed the movie, even if its just for the surreal tidbits.
20
The Fall (2006,  R)
21
Labyrinth (1986,  PG)
Labyrinth
David Bowie rocks as the goblin king. Its getting a bit dated, but its still a classic.
22
Los Cronocrímenes (Timecrimes) (2007,  R)
Los Cronocrímenes (Timecrimes)
Decent twisty time travel movie. Touch slow here and there but ends nicely. Everything tied together well, other than the bandages. Its another movie that adds to my new spanish movie interest.
23
The Terminator (1984,  R)
24
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991,  R)
25
Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines (2003,  R)
Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines
Sad near ending to the terminator series. Poorly written obviously forced in to production for the bucks. Now the prequelesque christian bale as john conner looks pretty good.
26
Time Bandits (1981,  PG)
27
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988,  PG)
28
The One (2001,  PG-13)
