Starting with The Ring -some are horrible, some are true to the original, and some are poor imitations without the real scares or plots...

1
Ringu ( Ring) (1998,  Unrated)
Ringu ( Ring)

Must see, better than the stupid US remake.
2
The Ring (2002,  PG-13)
The Ring
horrible remake
3
Ringu 2 (2005,  Unrated)
Ringu 2
Original Japanese film, the "American sequel" is a completely different story written for American audiences.
4
The Ring Two (2005,  PG-13)
The Ring Two
This is not technically a "remake", it's an American made sequel to the first remake that has nothing in common with the original Japanese Ring 2 sequel. It's not badly done, but it's not great
5
Dark Water (2002,  PG-13)
Dark Water
Chilling Japanese original.
6
Dark Water (2005,  PG-13)
Dark Water
Re-make of the original Japanese film, despite following same story it fails to have ANY terrifying parts, much less anything scary and is completely devoid of any atmosphere. The original clear water is much more terrifying than the "new" black water. Poorly translated.
7
Pulse (Kairo) (2005,  Unrated)
Pulse (Kairo)
original Japan
8
Pulse (2006,  PG-13)
9
Shutter (They Are Around Us) (2004,  R)
10
Shutter (2008,  PG-13)
Shutter
Re-make of the original Thai film. This story is set in Japan and the story is very similar, but not nearly as genuinely terrifying. Not a bad movie IF you haven't seen the original

The Uninvited (2009,  PG-13)
The Uninvited
This definitely wasn't bad for a remake of an original Asian film, but I am ashamed to say that I have not yet seen "A Tale of Two Sisters" the Korean original. I would say that this is more of a thriller than a horror movie because the music is dramatic but there aren't scares as much as suspenseful moments. The synopsis is also incorrect. Younger sister Anna comes home from a stay in the mental hospital after her mother's sudden death in a fire. Her mother's former nurse is now her father's new girlfriend. I liked Alex, the other sister alot better. The sisters try to piece together what happened to their mother and how to handle their father's new gold-digger girlfriend. Unfortunately, the evidence of foulplay comes much too quickly for much suspense to build between the characters. I'm definitely going to have to see the original!
