American remakes of good films...
Why canīt hollywood just leave them alone??? Most films does not get any better just because Hollywood get their hands on them...

Nightwatch (1998, R)
Half a star for Ewna McGregor, but that is about it. The original danish one is really good. A lot has been lost in the remake though. It is too focused on being PC and a lot of the scary sections have been toned down. |

I really liked the original french film. It had charm and humour. Something the remake doesnīt have at all. |

Having watched this remake now, I stand by what I originally said. It was nowhere near as scary as the original, and some of the cast members looked like they were lacking in convictions. |
