The Warriors (1979,  R)
The Warriors
Glad this is finally getting the respect it deserves. Walter Hill is an awesome director.
2
Hard Times (1975,  PG)
Hard Times
Bronson kicking ass in the depression. Great film that works dramatically and as an awesome duke it out film.
3
Southern Comfort (1981,  R)
Southern Comfort
Some may call it a Deliverance rip off, but I call it wicked!
4
48 HRS (1982,  R)
48 HRS
Hill's mainstream hit is still excellent and influential. Funny and exciting.
5
The Long Riders (1980,  R)
The Long Riders
The "gimmick" of this film works very well, casting real brothers to play all the leads. Along with the gimmick though, this is one great western.
6
Johnny Handsome (1989,  R)
Johnny Handsome
Walter Hill is the man. He kicks some more ass with this great film and Rourke is excellent. A great crime film.
7
Undisputed (2002,  R)
Undisputed
Criminally (get it, it takes place at a prison) overlooked boxing film that is edge of your seat exciting from start to finish. I can't believe this didn't gain new life on video.
8
The Driver (1978,  R)
The Driver
A great movie where cops and robbers is equated with team sports, but instead of numbers the players are given names; The Driver, The Detective, etc. O' Neal is great as the mysterious driver and Dern is fantastic as the gung ho detective. In fact, this is one of the few movies where I wasn't certain what characters would do. There is one scene at the end where a main character is holding a gun to another character and I was actually not sure if he was going to murder him. A great Walter Hill film.
9
Extreme Prejudice (1987,  R)
Extreme Prejudice
Tough as nails film that I must re-watch soon.
10
Trespass (1992,  R)
Trespass
I remember when this came out critics crapped all over it and I was in my "I listen to the critics" phase. However, I had to rent it for the double bill of Bill Paxton and Walter Hill and it was my first inkling that perhaps, just perhaps, most critics have their heads up their asses.
11
Wild Bill (1996,  R)
Wild Bill
Another great Walter Hill western. Stylish, engaging and filled with great performances.

Another 48 Hrs. (1990,  R)
Another 48 Hrs.
Yes, I know everyone hates this film because it isn't near as good as the original, but I dug it. I loved the action scenes and the twin villains.
13
Supernova (2000,  PG-13)
Supernova
Let it be known that if Coppola had kept the scenes in the deleted scenes section in the DVD in the film I would be giving this an easy 4 stars. Not only is Coppla supposedly a hack nowadays, but he irrecoverably hurt Walter Hill's career with his attempt to make a great sci-fi more "mainstream".
14
Last Man Standing (1996,  R)
Last Man Standing
Another retelling of Yojimbo that lies somewhere in between Fistful of Dollars and Death Wish 4.
15
Brewster's Millions (1985,  PG)
Brewster's Millions
I remember being so excited about this when I was younger. Richard Pryor and John Candy! Awesome! I still liked it, but I really would have to see it as an adult to judge if it's any good or not. It's Walter Hill, it can't be that bad.
16
Red Heat (1988,  R)
Red Heat
This one didn't impress me at all. Well, every director is allowed a couple stinkers, it sure ain't no 48 hours.
17
Crossroads (1986,  R)
Crossroads
I remember this movie being cooler than I ever thought it would be, but I was 15 years old so there is a good chance I didn't have a clue.
