a great example of the 80s and why they were great for action, very violent, great action, that main theme, nancy allen looking as hot as ever, some great one liners,,,,ill buy that for a doller, and some nasty villains, a great adition to paul verhovens filmoghraphy
3

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
ah yes childhood memories, starwars is everything you want from fantasy sci fi, great charactors, great effects, writting needs a lot tobe desired but hey, when your 7 who cares, just go with the adventure, you said it chewi
5
Silent Running (1971,  G)
Silent Running
clasic sci fi, brining up the cause of the enviroment, in its story about a space station harvesting plant life and greenery, and the desision to stop and destroy it, and non inportance of our green land, in a future where thre isnt any. a great performance from dern, whos never been better, and touching performances from the robots, huey duey and luey, which adds a lot to this. watching this after this years wall-e, its not hard to see some influence in the robots, and especialy the last 10 minutes, and certain parts throughout
6
Forbidden Planet (1956,  G)
7
Westworld (1973,  PG)
8
Transformers (2007,  PG-13)
Transformers
good and bad, this, when its good its very good and when its bad, its bad, the big problem here is michael bay, his direction is all over this, and although hes good at action, sometimes his action is a little over te top, and he shoots everything like a music video, and does get a little stale at times, that said, when theres robot action its pretty much top form, great carnich, and mayhem, great efects, but when we get to other elements its not so fine, the plot is not that interesting, and dull, and lots of scenes which dont belong, the actings ok, to be expected with what they got, but at the end of it all, this is about robots transforming, and it does deliver on that promise, loads action and great robot action,

Metropolis (1927,  Unrated)
10
Blade Runner (1982,  R)
Blade Runner
THE FINAL CUT
not being a fav film of mine, although i find it a interesting film to watch, i was interested in watching ridley scotts latest atempt at getting his vision right, close to the directors cut, voice over still absent from film, which i like. and various tamperings, although not on annoying leve like lucas and starwars, the film has been cleaned up, and looks great, and little tweaks here and there, but still the same old blade runner everyone loves, itll still be debates years to come wether voice over should stay or go, and coming from someone who first saw directors cut, before original, i feel it should stay out, it sounded dull hearing it, and ford sounded bored, aparently he dident like idea of voice over so did a crap job at narrating it, shot before the so called mtv influence took over hollywood, this may seem a bit slow paced for todays audiance, but still holds up pretty well, and watching todays films like minority report, you see the influence, the style and look is great really capturing a 2019 los angeles, really moody looking and uninviting, the future looks bleak, o a sci fi film that actually stands up, doesent age, well maybe a few shots of computers and technology aside, but scott stood his ground and hasent updated look of them here, a good move i think,
