animated: dreamworks films

amazing. hilarious at every turn, the action sequesnces were perfectly planned, and the story was flawless in every way. there arent more than a couple of animated films ever made that are better than this, and this was one of the most enjoyable movie theatre expiriences of my life. it was also the fist film i took my son to in the theatre, and i couldnt have picked a better film.

great animated story, accurate and well told

i loved this flick. great subtle humor and very clever. you really have to pay attention to this film to get some of the nuances behind the humor and that gromit is a great character.

great flick. one of the better animated flicks to come out recently. great little bits of humor that you would only get if you were really paying attention, especilly the french frogs surrendering in the face of battle. the story was very good and the characters were chosen well.

a lot of fun, i like this

this movie obviously piggybacked off of nemo's success, which made me not want to like it, but it was a darn good film. i enjoyed it alot, even more than my 2 and a half year old that got bored about half way through. worth watching.

i enjoyed this movie very much. it took alot of flack, but i didnt see why. it was entertaining and creative, the characters were about as engaging as one would expect from an animated film. fun to watch.

the strength of the film was the clever hat tipping to all of the other classic sci-fi films from years past. some of the comedy was timed very well and the characters were a lot of fun. the thing holding this film back was an underdeveloped story. i question the choice of overly focusing on susan and not developing the other characters more, especially the alien antagonist. overall a worth while dreamworks film.

i saw this story in the 90's, it was called the lion king back then. that said, this was a really fun family film with some very funny moments. not quite as good as the first in this series, but good for anyone looking for a fun animated film.

great stuff, they should do a live action of this story

this was a good movie. i thought that this was the funniest shrek, but it was still my least favorite. it had the best one liners and jokes of the series, but the story was average at best. it added to the series and was a delight to watch, but it didnt have the "journey" feel that the first two had. over all a good flick, good enough that i wouldnt mind seeing a fourth, as long as they are at least this good and they can keep the original cast then these movies are worth it.

on the one hand, i laughed out loud 3 or four times and i felt that much of the humor was very clever. on the other hand there were blatant and simple flaws in the diologue that were really annoying. overall it was a good flick to watch with my kids and i felt entertained the whole way through.
