Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008, R)
I thought it was better than both "Knocked Up" and "Superbad!" |

Pineapple Express (2008, R)
PINEAPPLE EXPRESS, Director David Gordon Green`s forray into buddy-action films (yes, this is the guy who made Undertow and George Washington) is a new breed of comedy... a style of which I have never seen before. |

Step Brothers (2008, R)
The Critics were really hard on this one, but I found the film to be consistently very funny and sporatically hilarious. Sure it's stupid, and some scenes go way over the top (especially with excessive physical violence), but STEP BROTHERS wasn't meant to be taken seriously, and it works as just that; an entertaining summer diversion. |

Funny People (2009, R)
Apatow's most restrained film to date is also his most accomplished and heartfelt. This is a great film (equal parts drama and comedy) with Adam Sandler in a career best performance that I just hope isn't forgotten this awards season (Hint: He will be). |
