From the poster I expected this to be just another college-stoner movie but I was pleasantly surprised by the breadth and depth of the story. One of Marsden's better films.

Rudd's 'cleaning-up' scene was simply hilarious.

A garden variety gangster movie. Nothing special, once you've been sufficiently acquainted with all the bit players -which is approximately say 10mins into the movie; you'd pretty much have a not-murky idea on how's it going to end.

I rarely ever go for dramas but this one's got me smitten. The shifts from one medium to another is just gorgeous. Dreamy dream sequences, regular footage and videocam clips just blend so astoundingly well in this amazing story of an otherwise regular family. The footage with the trash getting caught in the whirlwind is so ordinary and yet so iconic.

Great soundtrack.

The bit where the director instructs Murray in Japanese with the translator summing the kilometric diatribe into a sentence is a classic. Outrageously hilarious. Simultaneously hilarious and a little disturbing since the translation was deliberately omitted. Oh Coppola, Faris should have stuck with good directors like her.
