Strange and weird and everything you'd expect from the mind of Stephen King. I really enjoyed the first half of this film and I liked the idea of the memory warehouse, however the second half to me, was pretty boring.

Morgan Freeman seemed oddly placed in his role and the character 'Jonesy' attempted a British accent in a very 'Hollywood' way.

the special features are worth a look though as it has an interesting interview with Stephen King.

VERDICT: The contrast between the first and second halves to me turned this into a very average film

This is certainly my favourite Stephen King adaption to date. The story is so original and all characters are developed so well, whether you love them or hate them.

I think most people would have taken to the character of John Coffey and felt the bitter/sweet of the story.

Also a quick look at the set and talk with Stephen King on the special features, which is worth a look.

A nostalgic film and good to see again after many years. Although the actual plot in this film isn't that great, the build up around it is, a great soundtrack too and of course a few faces we know longer see in films

Dated, yet enjoyable, I like the idea of obtaining future telling abilities from having been woken from a long coma. It's a little weird, but it wouldn't be Stephen King if it wasn't now would it?
