Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl
One of those movies tht I will always worship and love no matter how terrible it really is. The ultimate 'pick-me-up' movie. And where would the world be without Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow?
2
The Bourne Identity (2002,  PG-13)
The Bourne Identity
excellent, taut action, with believable characters you can root for, good acting, and an involving story.
3
The Bourne Supremacy (2004,  PG-13)
The Bourne Supremacy
slightly worse than the original, but still tons of great thriller action fun. a bit too much stylized editing though.
4
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
now, this is how to make a movie out of a book. it's emotional, mature, and moving, with just enough special effects and comedy to keep things light and interesting. very true to the book as well. definitely, the best of the bunch.
5
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005,  PG-13)

6

7
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969,  PG)
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
good, enjoyable, action-packed fun. paul newman and robert redford are amazing and have wonderful chemistry too.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (2007,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
this movie is even more maddeningly confuzzlingly confusing than the second- which is saying something. half the time, i had absolutely no idea what was going on. still, it is plenty enjoyable, and fits together much better than the second one. the action is great, the actors are great, the make-up and costumes are great, the music is great... and the line of neverending "what?"s continue. AND i'm sad it's over, but please NO FOURTH MOVIE!!!
9
Ocean's Eleven (2001,  PG-13)
Ocean's Eleven
very stylish fun, with a great all-star cast.
10
Ocean's Twelve (2004,  PG-13)
Ocean's Twelve
great! good story, and i love the entire cast!
11
Ocean's Thirteen (2007,  PG-13)
Ocean's Thirteen
much better than the second one, and really quite entertaining. clooney and pitt make an awesome pair, and the stunts are AWESOME.
12
Spider-Man (2002,  PG-13)
Spider-Man
very good fun, and the romantic part of the story is sweet.
13
Spider-Man 2 (2004,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 2
even better than the original, with a good story and acting, and wonderful action. quite sad too.
14
Spider-Man 3 (2007,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 3
not bad at all, and definitely fun. good action sequences, and some funny bits too. the plot is good, although too much is crammed in. tobey maguire does a great job again- i loved emo peter parker! the rest of the cast, especially rosemary harris, topher grace, and james franco are also excellent. unfortunately, kirsten dunst does less acting than a paper bag. it's a shame, really. who knows if a bigger part would have changed anything...
15
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
a very, very funny swashbuckling sequel. it has tons more humour than the original, but of course, tons more extranneous action. the special effects and exotic locales are all visually stunning. the story is MUCH too complicated, but i can deal. the entire cast is amazing, especially the deliciously delightful mr. depp and the kick-ass ms. knightley. great music too. goes on waaaaaay too long, but that does give time for beautiful close-ups of messrs. depp and bloom- even more beautiful on the big screen :) [i must add, though, that after seeing the third, this one just, well, sucks.]
16
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone) (2001,  PG)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone)
a very charming beginning to the harry potter series. it could have been better, but i love the actors, and i LOVE hogwarts.
17
Back to the Future (1985,  PG)
Back to the Future
i never thought i'd want to see this movie, let alone end up liking it, but guess what: I LOVE IT!!!! it is quite hilarious, very exciting, and just plain fun. kudos to my french teacher for making us watch it (in french, mind you).
18
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Wo hu cang long) (2000,  PG-13)
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Wo hu cang long)
very beautiful and emotional, and quite interesting too. i saw it a while ago, but it still sticks in my head...
19
The Mummy (1999,  PG-13)
The Mummy
silly, loud, gross, inaccurate... but i love it. just forget about your brain for a sec and you'll have a great time. there's explosions, action, adventure, romance, good humour- all the ingredients of a perfect summer blockbuster. oh, and whoever thought brendan fraser would make a believable action hero- call me. we have to talk.
20
Von Ryan's Express (1965,  PG)
Von Ryan's Express
A great story of a daring train escape made by the members of a POW camp in WWII. A good mix of action, suspense, and humour played out beautifully by its stars. The last 15 minutes of the movie are pure nail-biters.
21
The World Is Not Enough (1999,  PG-13)
The World Is Not Enough
Not a bad Bond outing- too long and a little contrived, but all in good fun. Pierce Brosnan and Sophie Marceau are just delicious. John Cleese is hilarious in his first Bond movie (what can that guy NOT do?). The only real huh is Denise Richards. As a scientist. Oi vei.
22
Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark) (1981,  PG)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark)
Such a classic. What else is there to say?
23
Tomorrow Never Dies (1997,  PG-13)
Tomorrow Never Dies
Definitely one of the better Bond films of recent years. Pierce Brosnan is in fine form, and Michelle Yeoh offers some great support in a kick-ass role. The two have awesome chemistry. Jonathan Pryce makes an excellent (and different) villain, and the stunts and action are entertaining and thankfully not tiring. The best part of the whole movie is Bond's tricked-out BMW. I don't usually get excited about cars, but that one is AWESOME.
24
Our Man Flint (1966,  Unrated)
Our Man Flint
Crazy, zany, goofy, satirical fun. James Coburn is perfect. It grows a little tiresome after a while, but it never stops being fun (especially when a seemingly heavy boulder bounces right off a woman's head at the end!).
25
A Knight's Tale (2001,  PG-13)
A Knight's Tale
A very funny and enjoyable movie. Heath Ledger is such a joy to watch. The cast is likable and works really well together. Paul Bettany is brilliant as Geoffrey Chaucer. I loved the modern-day anachronisms; I think they did exactly what the director wanted and brought the mood and excitement of the Middle Ages to the average viewer. The flashbacks, though (sort of) necessary for the plot, are a drag. A more interesting female lead would probably have made that part of the story much more interesting.
26
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002,  PG)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Quite long, and more than a little safe, but still a noble Harry Potter entry nonetheless. I guess it makes sense that my least favourite Potter book would produce my least favourite Potter film.
