1	Cinderella Man (2005,  PG-13) quite excellent, with fine performances and production values. i saw some of it being shot, and ron howard!
2	Shine (1996,  PG-13) Regardless of how factual or not this movie may be, it certainly is worth a watch. Straightforward and moving, it beautifully paints a picture of the courage of an artist and the redemptive quality of his passion. Geoffrey Rush is brilliant, as are Noah Taylor as his adolescent self and Armin Mueller-Stahl as his domineering father.
3	Ed Wood (1994,  R) a great, funny, quirky movie. johnny depp is, like always, soooo good with everything he does. i love that it's black and white; it adds a very special touch.
