It's a Wonderful Life (1946,  Unrated)
It's a Wonderful Life
One of the best movies ever. A great movie to watch every Christmas.
2
The Nightmare Before Christmas (2008,  PG)
The Nightmare Before Christmas
It's one of the best animated movies of all time: great characters, great music!
3
Miracle on 34th Street (1947,  Unrated)
Miracle on 34th Street
Good, not spectacular. It will probably grow on me.
4
Die Hard (1988,  R)
Die Hard
Not a perfect movie, but a very entertaining action-thriller. It's no wonder Bruce Willis became a star after this movie.
5
A Christmas Story (1983,  PG)
A Christmas Story
It is definately a Christmas classic. It's not Christmas without watching the marathon on TBS. You'll shoot your eye out!
6
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1967,  G)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
A classic Christmas movie. I could watch it over and over again. It's not Christmas without it.
7
Home Alone (1990,  PG)
Home Alone
A new comedy classic. It's a great movie for the whole family, and it's completely funny.
8
Elf (2003,  PG)
Elf
Will Ferrell is really weird, but funny in this movie. It's a new Christmas classic.
9
Love Actually (2003,  R)
Love Actually
I actually liked it. I really liked how they intertwined the eight separate stories. Everyone was likeable in the movie and the acting was good too. This may sound bad, but I think it was a little too British for me. I didn't quite get some of their slang. Anyway, this is a really good and unique romantic comedy.
10
White Christmas (1954,  Unrated)
White Christmas
Not spectacular, but entertaining. I don't like Bing Crosby very much.
11
The Shop Around the Corner (1940,  Unrated)
The Shop Around the Corner
It was good, not great (I feel like I've been saying that about a lot of movies lately!). James Stewart is definately one of the best actors ever.
12
The Polar Express (2004,  G)
The Polar Express
It's a good movie to watch every Christmas. The elves are kind of Nazi-like and creepy, and the songs aren't that great, but I think it will probably become a holiday perennial film. Robert Zemeckis's motion capture technology has a long way to go if he ever wants to make traditional animation obsolete. The characters' expressions are bland and boring because of this premature technology. I have a love-hate relationship with this movie.
13
The Santa Clause (1994,  PG)
The Santa Clause
It's okay... it is a Christmas classic, but not my favorite Christmas movie.
14
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000,  PG)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Though this movie will definitely end up as a "Christmas classic," it is far from perfect. Jim Carrey is well cast as the Grinch, but his performance is so over the top that it is almost annoying at times.
15
The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974,  Unrated)
The Year Without a Santa Claus
Mickey Rooney's voice was not right for the part, but the Heatmiser and Snowmiser songs are so catchy that they make up for it.
16
Scrooged (1988,  PG-13)
Scrooged
Okay, kind of boring. Very forgettable.
17
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992,  PG)
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
It feels more like a remake of the original than a sequel to it... however, it is still an okay movie. Not as great as the first one.
18
Home Alone 3 (1997,  PG)
Home Alone 3
I used to watch it over and over, but now it's just stupid. Why would you use the same names of the characters in the first two when none of them are the same people? And why is this movie on AMC (American Movie CLASSICS)???
19
The Santa Clause 2 - The Mrs. Clause (2002,  G)
The Santa Clause 2 - The Mrs. Clause
The whole "evil Santa clone terrorizing the North Pole" thing is so completely stupid.
20
Bad Santa (2003,  R)
Bad Santa
A HUGE disappointment. I didn't laugh a single time. Lauren Graham, what are you doing in this terrible movie? The movie's "jokes" rely on the constant use of profanity, and the movie just turns into one exhausting mess.
21
Fred Claus (2007,  PG)
Fred Claus
Poor Vince Vaughn... you're so funny, but this movie isn't. And what's up with the cartoon noises during the "hilarious" beat-downs by the ninja elves? So many people are wasted here: Vaughn, Elizabeth Banks, Kathy Bates, Rachel Weisz, Elizabeth Banks... the list goes on. Siimple put, Fred Claus is a mess of a movie with an interesting story idea but horrible execution.
22
Christmas with the Kranks (2004,  PG)
Christmas with the Kranks
It ruined the book for me (which I liked).
