Fargo (1996, R)
One of the most striking things about Fargo is the cold, satire weather. At the beginning of the film we see endless white until we see a car's headlight's seeping through that vast colour. This is what struck me the most about Fargo. After seeing this cold, endless snow, what unfolds over the next hour and a half, through all of the slapstick comedy, violence and suspense is one of the best films I've ever seen. The Coen brothers have created a completely original masterpeice that is undoubtably the best film they have ever made, and probably the best film they will ever make. |
