The Hitcher (2007, R)
Very intense remake w/ non stop action,suspense,top-notch acting,gory & bloody moments was so brutal & shocking in a good way which kept me in the edge of my seat.I was living for the moment when the guy got ripped in half something that i wanted to see in the original but instead it was an off screen scene have to say that i enjoy this one more than the original which is a good film but this remake is in my list of favorites. |

Finally a very bloody & brutal vampire film with an original story to the this genre that feels like a breath of fresh bloody air.Creepy atmosphere,good pace & few cool death scenes.Good performances by the cast, specially from Josh Hartnett.Even a good ending that i wasn't expecting just to make this film one of the best horror films of 2007. |

Halloween (2007, R)
Rob Zombie did such a great job directing this film & his reinvention is so updated,brutal,very bloody & making it his own.No need to compare this with Carpenter's version which is more like a suspense film but Zombie's is more like a horror film done for the hardcore horror fans that expects to have a hell of bloody good time.This version makes all those Halloween sequels pointless.Some great camera work & Rob Zombie knows how to not get overboard with the Halloween theme music & use some suspenseful music to go with the scenes. |
