Hawaii, Oslo (2004,  Unrated)
Hawaii, Oslo
interesting concept, rather similar to crash- although this came first. i could have done without the supernatural aspect, but taut suspense and a suprise ending make up for that. good ensemble cast, and wonderful mood music.
9
Water (2005,  PG-13)
Water
very sad and touching, with beautiful cinematography. it was very interesting to watch, both because i knew nothing about the subject matter, and also because it was very well done.
10

11

a slow and beautiful movie. the beauty and tragedy of the story will certainly draw you in.
13
Italian for Beginners (,  R)
Italian for Beginners
A sweet, charming little story of lonely souls who bond over their weekly Italian class. A little slow to get started, but then again all movies of this type seem to be that way. Definitely worth a watch.
14
Paris Je T'aime (2007,  R)
Paris Je T'aime
A fascinating and diverse look at the city of love and lights. Some clips work better than others, but those that rock, really rock. A wonderfully little movie, really.
15
Entre les Murs (The Class) (2008,  PG-13)
Entre les Murs (The Class)
A humorous, touching, and most importantly realistic look at one teacher and his troubled classroom at an inner-city Paris school. Kudos to the complete un-Hollywoodization of the story and the intricate, flawed characters.
