A Japanese masterpiece! Despite its lenght, the film liberates a certain hope and bravery which we find in each of the seven samurai. Certainly a must see.

This sci fi/ psychological film is amazing. It brings us to another 'world' that determines the future. No special effects to separate the two world, but the dialogue and silence will bring the viewers to that place.

This film may be 3 hours long but it is filled with very interesting cinematography and, incredible representation of Russians struggling for their survival. Considering that the story takes place in the 15th century, we see how the religion has an major impact on the people. A film to see but only if you're able to appreciate great art and religion blend in one film.

A controversial film which puts together the Jews, the French, the English during the period of war.

Cinema Paradiso is amazing. I think the fact that i am myself a film freak, it really is the story of my life. The magic of cinema is the core of this film. The little Toto was so adorable that he reflects everyone the first time we went to the movies. I absolutely recommend this film for ppl who study films or ppl who REALLY appreciate the good and clever cinema! Otherwise, you will maybe enjoy it also.

Arcand's depiction on religion and Montreal itself have somewhat not change until now (almost 20 years later). The film opens on a lot of subjects that still not resolved yet which gives the viewers a great opinion on a part of Montrealers ways of living.
