Poltergeist III (1988, PG-13)I really like this movie, I can watch it over and over again! I especially like Tom Skerritt and Nancy Allan as Carol-Anne's de facto parents. The only thing I don't understand is what happened to her family? Why did her mom and dad pack her off to Chicago? That was the only part I didn't like. I missed seeing them from the first movies. |

Resident Evil - Apocalypse (2004, R)
A cool movie that I really enjoyed! Milla Jovovich was awesome as usual....especially in her scenes with Nemesis. Had some unanswered questions at the end though, maybe they will be answered in the next movie. Liked all the supporting characters, and especially loved seeing Toronto's City Hall in the ending scenes! |

Blade II (Blade 2) (2002, R)
I liked this movie, it was quite a good sequel to the first Blade movie. Some good plot twists that I didn't see coming, and of course great action and special effects. The Reaper vampires were especially creepy! I didn't like how Blade and Whistler didn't seem to be in sync as much until the end of the movie. |

Blade - Trinity (2004, R)
I liked this movie, especially the addition of Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds to the movie, they were very good! There are actually a lot of good actors in this movie, it was good to see Natasha Lyonne and Callum Keith Rennie. This movie has lots of great action and fighting scenes in it, Jessica especially kicked ass! Highly recommend to everyone. |

Dawn of the Dead (1979, R)
A fun movie, I really enjoyed it! Great characters even though they do stupid things sometimes (isn't that what makes them human?) and a great plot, with some predictable elements. What I like about this movie is that it is totally different then the remake, and so you're not watching it contrasting the two. I especially liked Ken Foree's character Peter, and Gaylen Ross' character Fran. Those two made the movie in my opinion. |

Nightbreed (1990, R)
Pretty cool movie, I was amazed at David Cronenberg's performance, it wasn't just a cameo or minor character role, it was one of the main roles. He is a terrific actor, I wish he acted in more stuff so I could watch more of his movies. The idea of this movie is very interesting, and I would love to see a sequel! I can't believe they haven't made another movie yet. The characters and storyline were great as well, especially the character of Lori. |

Hellraiser (1987, R)
Actually watched for the first time recently, and it was very good. Made me want to read all the books and watch the rest of the movies. The cenobites were very scary and well done, and the gore was kept to a reasonable level. I guess because this movie was made in the eighties it isn't as gross as some of the more modern horror movies, and I like that. Clive Barker is one of the horror masters, that's for sure. |

Jacob's Ladder (1990, R)
Oh wow, what an amazing movie! One of Tim Robbins best movies, and the acting of everyone was top-notch. I loved Danny Aiello and McCauley Culkin's roles, they didn't have a lot of scenes but they were very good. I loved the scene where Tim Robbins is on the gurney, one of the best depictions of hell I've ever seen. The story was excellent, it kept me guessing until the end, in fact I'm still trying to figure out what happened! Definitely a great horror/suspense/mystery movie, I'd recommend it to everyone. |

Trick 'r Treat (2008, R)
Was really lucky to get to see this at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, and so glad I did! This movie was amazing. Sure it was predictable at times, what horror movie isn't? But it had good characters and a fairly good plot with some really cool surprises and awesome scenes thrown in. I definitely consider this movie to be one of the classic halloween movies that should get shown on tv every year, lol. |
