Best Kids Movies

Great classic Henson. I love all the different puppets. He was a brilliant man! The only distressing thing is David Bowie's Codpiece... eek.

I remember my Dad used to hum along with the good guys in this one, and I begged him to buy me a big crystal in the gem/rock shop so that it could sit on the TV during this one in case it was the shard. Awwww...

A classic 80s kids movie. Great one-liners. By today's standards it moves a bit slowly, but I have always loved it.

The Greatest Adventure... is what lies ahead. Too bad the guy's got an annoying singing voice.

The Annoying singing voice from The Hobbit is back, only he sings more. This is in here because as a kid I was a Tolkien fan and I liked anything that had to do with the LotR books.

Not as good or as complete (it ends in book two) as the Peter Jackson series, but a classic for Tolkien fans.

One of the best animated Disney movies.

You just can't go wrong with Jim Henson.

A timeless classic. I loved it when I was a kid, and kids today love it as well. Only fault is Dick Van Dyke's terrible accent!

I enjoyed this one. Thought the songs were good, and actually necessary... there are too many disney films with CRAP songs these days and every two seconds there's a new one!

I haven't seen this for years, and don't know if I'd give it the same rating if I saw it now. Still when I was growing up I absolutely loved this one.

The Hills are Alive!!! I don't know how anyone could dislike this musical. It's one of the best films ever!

I know it's a dodgy movie, but this was one of the reasons I played every video game I ever could. I love the idea behind this! Great film!

A complete classic, wonderful to throw on when you're wandering around the house.

I wanted to say that I didn't enjoy this one as much as the original, but honestly, I think they stayed pretty true to the idea behind Fantasia with this one. I really enjoyed the one with the flamingos as it had me in stitches in the theatre.

Wish I'd have thought of making a space ship that works... now that I've got a garage maybe I'll start on that.

DUDE! I liked the idea for these films and thought that both were very fun, however this first one was by far the best.

Not the Eddie Murphy one.

I remember watching this one over and over when I rented it as a kid. Now I can't even remember the plot or anything about it other than I loved it when I saw it. I can't find it to rent anywhere else to double check my rating either! BUMMER!

Cute movie in the classic feel good Disney style. It doesn't have much substance as far as thoughtful storyline, but it is fun.
