The Forbidden Kingdom (2008, PG-13)
What can I say about this movie? "The Forbidden Kingdom", is an action packed, martial arts thrill ride, comparative to that of such greats as "The Curse of the Golden Flower", "The Storm Riders", "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", and "The House of Daggers". The special effects in this movie make elemental & mystical fighting styles look like they could be taught in real life shaolin monk temples. LOL! Jet Li & Jackie Chan, together in the same film, deliver a powerful performance showing off their mastery of a variety of martial art forms. You do not want to watch this one on a tiny portable DVD viewing screen, because the action is on a much larger scale, and therefore is best seen on large screens and Hi-Def would be the BEST way to view this one, so as not to miss a beat. Why can't I be an immortal. Anyone got an elixir I can partake of. This is a MUST SEE! |
