Batman (1989,  PG-13)
Batman 4.0 Stars
Classic superhero film. Tim Burton's unique directing made this true to the comics with it's twisted Jack Nicholson Joker and it's solumn and mysterious Michael Keaton Batman. Billy Dee Williams played Harvey Dent - but he never became Two-Face.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968,  G)
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang 5.0 Stars
Spectacular film with great songs and wonderful performances. Dick Van Dyke really gives his best in this and the other cast back him up rather than take away. Lionel Jeffries is hilarious as Grandpa and the story sequence in Vulgaria is laugh out loud fun. One of the timeless musicals ever made.

The Love Bug (1968,  G)
The Love Bug 4.5 Stars
My favorite of the Herbie movies. It's a classic and full of fun. It began the saga and stars veteran Disney actor Dean Jones. Jones performs at top of his game and his dry wit and sarcastic humor are in good shape. David Tomlinson makes a great villian and is intstantly recognized by true disney fans (notably for Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks). Buddy Hackett is hilarious as the first believer in Herbie as well as the namer - he adds an extra element of comedic relief in this comedy. Beyond the bounds of the term Classic this is a must see of the Disney films. Excellent in acting and technical areas it is definitely worth the watch.

Back to the Future (1985,  PG)
Back to the Future 5.0 Stars
Perhaps the ultimate time travel film as well as an excellent comedy. This film is widely known and popular and will remain a classic. Michael J. Fox is great as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd is absolutely brilliant in perhaps his greatest ever character role. The story is gripping and intense and follows through on all its tie-ins. My personal favorite movie of all time.

Speed Racer (2008,  PG)
Speed Racer 3.5 Stars
Very vibrant and colorful with fun and action and plot as well. Suprisingly deals more with plot and story than it does racing. Although it was not expected it was enjoyable to have a pretty good plot. There were elements right out of the cartoon such as Speed and Racer X racing against each other one night, and Pops Racer being a champion wrestler, and Trixie flying the helicopter, and the Mammoth Car. The actors looked just like the cartoon characters and the whole thing felt like the cartoon came to life. The special effects are mind blowing and the whole thing is a fun and awesome ride.

Goldfinger (1964,  PG)
Goldfinger 4.0 Stars
One of the best Bond films of all time. A Korean razor-hat thrower, a man who loves gold, a Fort Knox breakin, and the Astin Martin DB5 (the Most Famous Car in the World) all make this unforgettable. Connery is great as Bond and the plot is engaging.

Excellent music and comedy. This is a fun film and Belushi and Aykroyd can't fail in it....because they're "on a mission from God".

Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed (2004,  PG)
Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed 3.0 Stars
This feels like it took place a few years after the original Scooby-Doo Where Are You? show. The monsters are the villians from the original series and the Mystery, INC. gang work together just like in the show. The cast is good and the visuals are great. It feels like a typical Scooby-Doo plot but its a lot of fun. Some of the modern takes on the characters just does not work but overall they are decent portrayals. Much better than the first which I refuse to accept as existing.
