9 1/2 Weeks (1986, R)
Life is made up of more than the sum of its moments. Mickey Rourke may be the greatest living actor, and the soundtrack is worth the recommendation alone. This movie has sort of an unorthodox suspense to it, but it all pays off in the end in what is a sobering case study into life, love, lust, trust, relationships and the contrast between the extremes of the male and female psyche. Great film. |
