Road to Perdition (2002, R)
Congruous directing, cinematography, score, and editing drives this film to transcend it's less than stellar detail in the dialogue of the writing. Daniel Craig isn't the best cast character, but performances by Hanks, Newman, and Law compensate. Moreover, this might be my favorite performance by Hanks. Overall, this is a solid follow-up for Mendes to "American Beauty" (one of the best films of the 90's). |
