The Hurt Locker (2009, R)
"It's not only the best iraq film of all-time but one of the greatest films ever made. Thanks to the very impressive Kathryn Bigelow, the performances were amazing. Jeremy Renner = Oscar nod, please. Anthony Mackie = Oscar nod, please. The whole movie is just amazing: very intense, amazing acting, great shots of Iraq and some effective humor. The movie would have not been this amazing if Kathyrn Bigelow didn't direct it, give her an Oscar nod as well. One of the greatest films ever made, destined to be one of the best films on earth." |

"Easily one of the best films of 09 and simply one of the best sports films ever made. Algenis Perez Soto who played Sugar did a very solid job, he has a great future in movies, he's a very good actor. The whole movie is just amazing. I'm a baseball fan (Cubs fan) and I didn't only loved it because of that but also because the movie is so human and true." |

Revolutionary Road (2008, R)
"RR is one of my favorite films of 08', Leo Dicaprio gave his best performance of his career (This being his first, Blood Diamond being his second and The Departed being his third) and was INCREDIBLY robbed by the Oscars. Kate Winslet gave an incredible performance, I thought she did a bit better in this than The Reader. Shannon was insanely good, now I know why he got the nod. The movie itself is just amazing!!" |
