1
Minority Report (2002,  PG-13)
Minority Report
Very underrated. Everytime I watch it, I always forget whodunnit, and I am suprised again each time.
2
Signs (2002,  PG-13)
Signs
It's great. It shows that you don't have to spend millions on special effects to create a feeling of suspense.
3
The Bourne Identity (2002,  PG-13)
The Bourne Identity
A thrilling, action-packed movie. It actually has brains, unlike all the other action movies Hollywood puts out now.
4
Catch Me If You Can (2002,  PG-13)
Catch Me If You Can
It is really fun to watch. Great preformances and direction.
5
Chicago (2002,  PG-13)
Chicago
A great musical, but the Best Picture of the Year? I don't know...
6
The Pianist (2002,  R)
The Pianist
The Pianist is a masterly made film; however, it just reminded me too much of Schindler's List to call it a masterpiece.
7
The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers (2002,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers
The battle scenes are awesome. Gollum is one of the best CGI creations ever.
8
The Ring (2002,  PG-13)
The Ring
Though I did not find The Ring frightening, I thought it was a wonderful mystery thriller. Okay, the plot isn't full-proof, but I was 100% engaged the entire time.
9
Adaptation (2002,  R)
Adaptation
Probably the most unique movie I have ever seen. The script is great, as are the performances. The monologuing was hilarious.
10
Ice Age (2002,  PG)
Ice Age
Very cool. Way better than the sequel.
11
The Hours (2002,  PG-13)
The Hours
It was very interesting. It really held my attention. It was really cool how they had three separate stories, but slowly intertwined them in a fascinating way. It is really dark, but somehow enjoyable. Everyone's performances are spectacular. It definately deserves every award it won.
12
Spider-Man (2002,  PG-13)
Spider-Man
Not as good as the second one, but it's lots of fun. Tobey Maguire does a good job of portraying the "geek" and the hero. There are definately cheesy moments in this movie, but there are so many great moments that they outweigh the bad ones.
13
Panic Room (2002,  R)
Panic Room
Panic Room is a clever paranoid thriller that is entertaining, but by no means spectacular.
14
Road to Perdition (2002,  R)
Road to Perdition
I thought this movie was just average until the ending, which is unforgettable. Sam Mendes, director of Road to Perdition, American Beauty, and Jarhead is definately talented.
15
Punch-Drunk Love (2002,  R)
Punch-Drunk Love
Probably the weirdest movie I have ever seeen. I hated it at first, but then I strangely got into it.
16
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002,  PG)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Funnier and better than the first movie. The acting got a little better.
17
About a Boy (2002,  PG-13)
About a Boy
It was pretty good. The bread killing the duck thing made me laugh. But it wasn't great.
18
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002,  PG)
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
A little overrated, but the Windex jokes make me chuckle. The T.V. show was terrible though. Nia Vardalos is perfect in the lead role.
19
Lilo & Stitch (2002,  PG)
Lilo & Stitch
Very original and funny. I think that the mosquito jokes are hilarious.
20
The Rookie (2002,  G)
The Rookie
Another good family movie from Disney. It is very inspirational.
21
The Shape Of Things (2002,  R)
The Shape Of Things
Though not everything in The Shape of Things has translated well from the play to the big screen, it's still entertaining enough to recommend.
22
Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi) (2001,  PG)
Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi)
Miyazaki's film is a wildly inventive and touching movie that is a bit overrated, but still very entertaining.
23
Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams (2002,  PG)
Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams
Definately really weird; however, it is still a fun movie. It pales compared to its prodecessor, though. Stick around for the credits!
24
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones
It's my least favorite Star Wars movie, but I love Star Wars. How can I give it a bad rating? My biggest problem is that I don't think that the romance is believable, due in part to the horrid dialogue
25
Sweet Home Alabama (2002,  PG-13)
Sweet Home Alabama
An okay romantic comedy.
26
Gangs of New York (2002,  R)
Gangs of New York
I was disappointed by this movie. The beginning was good and the ending was very good, but the middle was so boring and pointless. I really didn't like anyone in this movie. The only thingsgood about this movie is the direction from Martin Scorsese and the beautiful set. It had a good idea going, but the way they went with the story was just not right. I need to watch it again.
27
Igby Goes Down (2002,  R)
Igby Goes Down
I can't believe people compare this movie to The Graduate. Claire Danes is really the only standout, and the movie felt depressing as a whole.
28
The Wild Thornberrys Movie (2002,  PG)
The Wild Thornberrys Movie
It is a successful adaptation of the entertaining series on Nickelodeon. It is, however, a little cheesy at points.
29
Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002,  PG-13)
Austin Powers in Goldmember
It is definately the worst of the series. All of the jokes are old and worn out. I thought the funniest part was with the Tom Cruise/Gwyneth Paltrow thing at the beginning. Goldmember is disgusting and not very funny. Whatever happened to Felicity Shagwell? The movie is okay... they should stop the series with this one.
30
A Walk to Remember (2002,  PG)
A Walk to Remember
My sisters were obsessed with this movie. I think I've seen it at least ten times. It's cheesy and predictable.
31
Drumline (2002,  PG-13)
Drumline
I am ONLY giving it this because of all the cool bands. What held this back was me hating Nick Cannon's character. I don't think I have ever hated a character that much.
32
Big Fat Liar (2002,  PG)
Big Fat Liar
Another movie that I used to like, that I now wonder why on earth I liked it.
33
Scooby-Doo (2002,  PG)
Scooby-Doo
I think I've seen this movie at least fifty times. It is pretty cheesy in spots. But it is funny and entertaining. Scooby is awesome.
34
40 Days and 40 Nights (2002,  R)
40 Days and 40 Nights
It was okay. I don't remember anything that was laugh out loud funny.
35
Clockstoppers (2002,  PG)
Clockstoppers
It's okay... I've seen it a million times. The story doesn't really make any sense. Watch Back to the Future instead.
36
Men in Black II (2002,  PG-13)
Men in Black II
The first one is so much better. Rosario Dawson, why are you in this movie?
37
Like Mike (2002,  PG)
Like Mike
Cheesy and dumb.
38
Snow Dogs (2002,  PG)
Snow Dogs
It's not a very good movie, and it is really weird. Watch Eight Below instead.
39
The Santa Clause 2 - The Mrs. Clause (2002,  G)
The Santa Clause 2 - The Mrs. Clause
The whole "evil Santa clone terrorizing the North Pole" thing is so completely stupid.
40
The Scorpion King (2002,  PG-13)
The Scorpion King
I hated it. It is completely stupid. The Rock is terrible.
41
The Master of Disguise (2002,  PG)
The Master of Disguise
I used to like it, I don't know why.
42
The Hot Chick (2002,  PG-13)
The Hot Chick
I hate this movie so much. Rob Schneider is so annoying.
