The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King
A great way to close the trilogy. Though the end does kind of drag on, you can never have too much of a good thing. The only flaw I can find in this movie is the absence of Saruman. Why would they cut that out? I don't feel that Mortensen was right for the part of Aragorn. He has a really weird accent.
2
Finding Nemo (2003,  G)
Finding Nemo
This movie is really amazing. All of the characters are wonderful, especially the ones in the tank at the dentist's office. It has so many great quotes. It definately deserves all of the hype people put around it.
3
Matchstick Men (2003,  PG-13)
Matchstick Men
I am speechless. This movie is ingenious. It has comedy, drama, action, and it will leave you breathless. While watching it, I couldn't help but smile. Nicholas Cage should have got a nomination for Best Actor with this movie. He was great as an obsessive compulsive guy. Ridley Scott is a great director. You have to see this movie to believe it.
4
X2 (2003,  PG-13)
X2
Better than the first one. I like how they have mixed politics into a comic book movie. The thing that makes this X-Men and the first one better than the third installment is that, with the first two, I felt like I was watching a movie about real people. It made me believe in the characters. With the third one, it just felt like I was watching a fun comic book movie. Bryan Singer is the best. However, the third movie's premise does kick the other two's butts. This movie really makes me want to start reading the comic books to learn more about the characters (as dorky as that may sound).

Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003,  R)
Kill Bill: Volume 1
This movie is really interesting. I thought it was very creative. Quentin Tarantino is a really gifted director. He makes everything so unique... examples: the beginning is in black and white, telling Cotton Mouth's story in an anime cartoon, and giving this movie very distinct action sequences. The ending's cliffhanger will make you want to watch Volume 2 immediately. In my mind, Volume 1 is a little better than 2. It's so much fun to watch.
6
Big Fish (2003,  PG-13)
Big Fish
Tim Burton is great, and this is one of his best movies. It's so sad at the end.
7
Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl
I really like this movie. Chills rush down my spine everytime Elizabeth says "he's a pirate."
8
Cold Mountain (2003,  R)
Cold Mountain
It was a great, well done movie. All the performances are great, especially Renee Zellweger... she was spectacular. Her character was amazing.
9
School of Rock (2003,  PG-13)
School of Rock
A great comedy. Jack Black rocks. All the kids are awesome too. The songs are really funny and memorable.
10
Seabiscuit (2003,  PG-13)
Seabiscuit
This is a really great movie. It is very moving and inspiring. I liked every single one of the characters. If it wasn't for The Return of the King, I would have definately named this movie Best Picture.
11
The Last Samurai (2003,  R)
The Last Samurai
A very good movie. Another great performance by Tom Cruise. Kind of confusing at first, but I think I eventually figured it all out. I think that it is a new classic movie.
12
Something's Gotta Give (2003,  PG-13)
Something's Gotta Give
I know, it's an "old people comedy," but I thought it was a really good movie.
13
Lost In Translation (2003,  R)
Lost In Translation
Not much really happens in this movie, but it is still really good. The story is simple... it's really enchanting.
14
21 Grams (2003,  R)
21 Grams
Strong performances all around, and a very gripping and interesting story. It's now doubt well made, and it has explosive acting, but I couldn't help but feel a little depressed while I watched it.
15
The Matrix Reloaded (2003,  R)
The Matrix Reloaded
It was disappointing, but the car chase is spectacular. The Key Maker makes me laugh. Not a complete diaster.
16
Love Actually (2003,  R)
Love Actually
I actually liked it. I really liked how they intertwined the eight separate stories. Everyone was likeable in the movie and the acting was good too. This may sound bad, but I think it was a little too British for me. I didn't quite get some of their slang. Anyway, this is a really good and unique romantic comedy.
17
Mystic River (2003,  R)
Mystic River
It was pretty good. The performances in this movie are outstanding. I didn't really like how they went with some of the parts of the movie, but it was still well done. It's definately a worthwhile movie.
18
Elf (2003,  PG)
Elf
Will Ferrell is really weird, but funny in this movie. It's a new Christmas classic.
19
The Italian Job (2003,  PG-13)
The Italian Job
It has good characters and does a good job of showing the theft.
20
Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines (2003,  R)
Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines
I liked it more than I thought I would.
21
American Splendor (2003,  R)
American Splendor
An unusual movie that I actually liked. I thought it was pretty funny too.
22
Under the Tuscan Sun (2003,  PG-13)
Under the Tuscan Sun
It is a suprisingly good movie. I can't believe TWO people from Grey's Anatomy are in this. How weird! Diane Lane is a great actress in this movie. The ending is really great.
23
Secondhand Lions (2003,  PG)
Secondhand Lions
This movie is really weird and unique, but still entertaining and touching. It's a neat little family movie with some memorable scenes.
24
Runaway Jury (2003,  PG-13)
Runaway Jury
I loved the book. This movie was a good screen adaptation of the movie, even if they did change the whole story completely. All of the cast members are good in their roles. The end was really touching.
25
Bruce Almighty (2003,  PG-13)
Bruce Almighty
A great comedy with a soft side too. Jim Carrey is great.
26
28 Days Later (2003,  R)
28 Days Later
I thought it was visionary and interesting. The first half was great. I was on the edge of my seat because I cared about the characters so much. But the second half felt kind of unnecessary. Overall, it's better than any of those stupid horror movies out these days.
27
Radio (2003,  PG)
Radio
This movie is really good. It may look like a sports movie, but that is not what it is really about. Cuba Gooding Jr. is perfect and deserved an Oscar nomination. A very touching movie.
28
Holes (2003,  PG)
Holes
It is a pretty good movie. However, I liked the book a lot more.
29
Intolerable Cruelty (2003,  PG-13)
Intolerable Cruelty
A clever comedy with the Coen's trademark black humor.
30
The Matrix Revolutions (2003,  R)
The Matrix Revolutions
The first one is so much better. The final fight between Neo and Smith is well done. It's not that terrible.
31
Brother Bear (2003,  G)
Brother Bear
A good movie with a clever story. However, I thought it tried to be a little too Lion King-ish.
32
Hulk (2003,  PG-13)
Hulk
This movie is underrated. I really like how it focuses on the development of the Hulk's character, but it suffers from the lack of action. Jennifer Connelly and Eric Bana are really good. Good direction from Ang Lee. I just don't think that this movie is "mainstream" enough for the general public to understand. The ending is really, really good.
33
Daredevil (2003,  PG-13)
Daredevil
It was actually a good movie. I enjoyed it. Without a doubt, it is definately cheesy, but that is what makes it so much fun. My favorite scene is the fight between Matt and Elektra in the playground. It is cheesy, but it is also hilarious and exciting. This movie is definately darker than other superhero movies. I liked Ben Affleck as Daredevil. Good choice of casting.I really like how they show Daredevil "seeing" with the sounds around him (especially with the rain thing). This movie has been bashed by a lot of people, but don't underestimate it. You will be surprised at how entertaining it is.
34
Cheaper by the Dozen (2003,  PG)
Cheaper by the Dozen
It's better than the usual "kick in the crotch" comedy.
35
Daddy Day Care (2003,  PG)
Daddy Day Care
It's actually a good movie. The Star Trek kid and the Flash kid are pretty funny. ALL the kids are great.
36
Freaky Friday (2003,  PG)
Freaky Friday
Disney never fails to make a good family movie.
37
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003,  PG-13)
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
I guess that it's an okay movie. Hudson and McConaughey have good chemistry between each other. Two funny parts: the plant thing and Princess Sophia.
38
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003,  PG-13)
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World
Not for me.
39
Old School (2003,  R)
Old School
Old School is a mildly entertaining film that sinks to mediocrity by the end.
40
Mona Lisa Smile (2003,  PG-13)
Mona Lisa Smile
Julia Roberts and the supporting cast is great, but the overall movie experience of Mona Lisa Smile is short of extraordinary. It tries so hard to be the Dead Poets Society with girls, and it comes up short.
41
Shanghai Knights (2003,  PG-13)
Shanghai Knights
Not as good as the first one. The plot is pretty weak, but Owen Wilson is hilarious.
42
View from the Top (2003,  PG-13)
View from the Top
One of the weirdest movie experiences of my life.
43
The Rundown (Welcome to the Jungle) (2003,  PG-13)
The Rundown (Welcome to the Jungle)
I was expecting more. Walken is a forgettable villain, and I've never really liked The Rock. I dozed off at the end.
44
Just Married (2003,  PG-13)
Just Married
What a terrible honeymoon!
45
Paycheck (2003,  PG-13)
Paycheck
I kind of liked it. Cheesy, but fun.
46
Lara Croft Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life (2003,  PG-13)
Lara Croft Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life
Okay... nothing special. Angelina Jolie is still great.
47
Gothika (2003,  R)
Gothika
Interesting: stupid at times, good at others. The very end was good. Overall... weird.
48
Dickie Roberts - Former Child Star (2003,  PG-13)
Dickie Roberts - Former Child Star
Definately unfunny. Why does it look like David Spade is wearing mascara??? This movie's plot is terrible, and, through the course of the movie, the use every cliche in the book. David Spade should stick to talking llamas.
49
Uptown Girls (2003,  PG-13)
Uptown Girls
There is some terrible acting in this film.
50
Head of State (2003,  PG-13)
Head of State
I saw it a long time ago. I didn't like it very much.
51
Kangaroo Jack (2003,  PG)
Kangaroo Jack
I liked the kangaroo, but I hated everyone and everything else. The commercials made it sound like the kangaroo talks, but he only does in a dream. How stupid.
52
Bringing Down The House (2003,  PG-13)
Bringing Down The House
It's okay... kind of stupid at times. But it is kind of funny.
53
Agent Cody Banks (2003,  PG)
Agent Cody Banks
Uh... stupid.
54
A Guy Thing (2003,  PG-13)
A Guy Thing
Meh. The only good thing was Julia Stiles.
55
Timeline (2003,  PG-13)
Timeline
I LOVED the book. It's one of my favorites. This movie was just okay. They left out too many parts and it was too choppy. I didn't care about any of the characters. Paul Walker was not right for the part. I, oddly, found this movie boring. Read the book instead.
56
Anger Management (2003,  PG-13)
Anger Management
I don't like comedies very often, and this is a good example of why.
57
The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003,  PG)
The Lizzie McGuire Movie
Uh... do they think that we can't tell that Hilary Duff plays two parts?
58
Bad Santa (2003,  R)
Bad Santa
A HUGE disappointment. I didn't laugh a single time. Lauren Graham, what are you doing in this terrible movie? The movie's "jokes" rely on the constant use of profanity, and the movie just turns into one exhausting mess.
59
Dr. Seuss - The Cat in the Hat (2003,  PG)
Dr. Seuss - The Cat in the Hat
I usually like Mike Myers, but not in this movie. The plot is stupid. It ruined a classic book.
60
Peter Pan (2003,  PG)
Peter Pan
Yuck. I don't see how ANYBODY liked this movie. It was pretty terrible. Peter Pan and Tinkerbell are horribly miscast. I don't think this movie shold have ever been made. Moviemakers have gone a little too Peter Pan crazy lately, if you know what I mean. Disney's Peter Pan, Finding Neverland, Hook, this... I could go on and on. I found it boring. Skip it.
61
Legally Blonde 2 - Red, White & Blonde (2003,  PG-13)
Legally Blonde 2 - Red, White & Blonde
She goes to court over her gay dog? Resse Witherspoon is a WAY better actress than this crap.
62
Scary Movie 3 (2003,  PG-13)
Scary Movie 3
Yuck. So stupid and unfunny. It also didn't help that it made fun of two of my favorite movies... "Signs" and "The Matrix." Avoid it at all costs.
