The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (2003, PG-13)
A great way to close the trilogy. Though the end does kind of drag on, you can never have too much of a good thing. The only flaw I can find in this movie is the absence of Saruman. Why would they cut that out? I don't feel that Mortensen was right for the part of Aragorn. He has a really weird accent. |

Matchstick Men (2003, PG-13)
I am speechless. This movie is ingenious. It has comedy, drama, action, and it will leave you breathless. While watching it, I couldn't help but smile. Nicholas Cage should have got a nomination for Best Actor with this movie. He was great as an obsessive compulsive guy. Ridley Scott is a great director. You have to see this movie to believe it. |

X2 (2003, PG-13)
Better than the first one. I like how they have mixed politics into a comic book movie. The thing that makes this X-Men and the first one better than the third installment is that, with the first two, I felt like I was watching a movie about real people. It made me believe in the characters. With the third one, it just felt like I was watching a fun comic book movie. Bryan Singer is the best. However, the third movie's premise does kick the other two's butts. This movie really makes me want to start reading the comic books to learn more about the characters (as dorky as that may sound). |

Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003, R)
This movie is really interesting. I thought it was very creative. Quentin Tarantino is a really gifted director. He makes everything so unique... examples: the beginning is in black and white, telling Cotton Mouth's story in an anime cartoon, and giving this movie very distinct action sequences. The ending's cliffhanger will make you want to watch Volume 2 immediately. In my mind, Volume 1 is a little better than 2. It's so much fun to watch. |

Love Actually (2003, R)
I actually liked it. I really liked how they intertwined the eight separate stories. Everyone was likeable in the movie and the acting was good too. This may sound bad, but I think it was a little too British for me. I didn't quite get some of their slang. Anyway, this is a really good and unique romantic comedy. |

Hulk (2003, PG-13)
This movie is underrated. I really like how it focuses on the development of the Hulk's character, but it suffers from the lack of action. Jennifer Connelly and Eric Bana are really good. Good direction from Ang Lee. I just don't think that this movie is "mainstream" enough for the general public to understand. The ending is really, really good. |

Daredevil (2003, PG-13)
It was actually a good movie. I enjoyed it. Without a doubt, it is definately cheesy, but that is what makes it so much fun. My favorite scene is the fight between Matt and Elektra in the playground. It is cheesy, but it is also hilarious and exciting. This movie is definately darker than other superhero movies. I liked Ben Affleck as Daredevil. Good choice of casting.I really like how they show Daredevil "seeing" with the sounds around him (especially with the rain thing). This movie has been bashed by a lot of people, but don't underestimate it. You will be surprised at how entertaining it is. |

Peter Pan (2003, PG)
Yuck. I don't see how ANYBODY liked this movie. It was pretty terrible. Peter Pan and Tinkerbell are horribly miscast. I don't think this movie shold have ever been made. Moviemakers have gone a little too Peter Pan crazy lately, if you know what I mean. Disney's Peter Pan, Finding Neverland, Hook, this... I could go on and on. I found it boring. Skip it. |
